Well it's not that important of course, but it just gives me a little kick:supersmile:

In about two weeks I'll get the results of another photography contest, a (international) Dutch one, but there I have to compete with real professionals

Congratulations, Titia! It comes as no surprise to me either. I have been impressed with every picture I've seen that you have taken. You do have a professional 'eye' for what will make a great photo!

I have said all along that you are definitely the Queen of Passions Photography.
And now you are officially honored for your great prize winning photo's.

I love the picture of the house! Fantastic.

Keep taking those pictures and who knows, you could be the next photographer to have her picture on the cover of National Geographic Magazine.

I've put up some for January too, so who knows... and I think in a few months they will choose the best of the year pics from all those monthly winners.

The winner gets 300.000,-- yen, what ever that mounts up into euro's I don't know LOL

Titia...congratulations. I'm proud of you too, but it is well deserved. Your pictures are beautiful.
And hey...300,000 yen, it sounds like a lot doesn't it. probably works out to about $1.51 in US currency, but what the heck, it's better than nothing

Tita, I did a little research (conversion) for you on the internet. If the award is indeed 300,000 Yen the conversion is as follows:

300, 000 Yen = $2,525.94 in US dollars

300,000 Yen = $2,408.03 in Euro dollars

Not too shabby my friend!!!! not too shabby at all.
