This has been a difficult two weeks for Lyra and me, with daily radiation treatments. Monday we noticed that the lump on her left jaw, that has been around for almost 5 months and was considered to be due to TMJ, had suddenly gotten much bigger. Several doctors had looked at this and not considered it significant. The doctor that examined it today believes that it is a tumor and we have decided to start radiation on it Monday. This means that we will be continuing treatment through the holidays. I will be moving Lyra's computer this weekend so that she can use it easier. Please continue your prayers and bless you all.

You know you guys are in our prayers. I am so sorry that you face such difficult challenges. May you have the courage to manager this experience and the peace of mind that restores your faith. Love to you both.

Dave, thank you so much for updating us about our dear little Lady Chippymunk. I'm sorry to hear about this latest developement. Please be assured that both of you are in our prayers.

Lyra, sweet friend, I'm so glad that your sweet Hubby is going to move your computer where it's easier for you. If you don't feel like posting, we still know that you'll be there reading. We all love you, sweet Chippymunk, and will be praying for you.

Thank you so much for the update. These are very challenging times for you both, but as you know, you are not alone! We are all praying and rooting and anything else we can do to support you and to help get you through all this crap! Damn it all to Hell! Yep, I'm angry! Yet in my heart I do know that:

I know that this is a very difficult time
for both of you....I won't write flowery
stuff....cause no matter how flowery I write,
the simple fact is you both are facing a very
difficult situation,  one which
only our Lord has control of...  One which has
caused you much heartache and pain in
many ways....

I admire you both...you have guts,  you have
not quit,  you are still trying hard,  as
a husband and wife to work through this as
best as you can...  That courage is the most
beautiful gift you possess and have given
to us through your words and Lyra's poetry.

Hang in there Dave and Lyra....My hopes are

This morning my church held a Youth prayer meeting. I along with my peers prayed for you and your family. Bless you all, my the grace of God heal your spirits. You will be kept in our prayers.

I would like to tnank each of you for all of your caring and for your prayers...
David has moved the computer into the bedroom, but I'm still having a hard time typing  because I'm so out of practice and I am also very exhausted.
The treatments have taken away all of my energy  and have hidden my muse someowhere.
I am also still in a good deal of pain, supposedly from a back injury I received during my physical theraphy on my left leg.
I am taking a lot of pain meds which have taken away my appetite... and therefore, my energy.... but I still haven't lost any significant weight... which would normally be bad, but in this case is good!
I'll try to keep in touch as often as possible, but my muse is still away, so please parden my unpoetic poetry for now...
I know she will return eventually and we will once again make some beautiful words together.
Again,  thank you all so much for thinking of me....  I can't even begin to tell you how much I've missed you... although I bet my muse could, I've she would re-appear.
