Well, I spoke to Lyra on the phone about a week ago. Her spirits are as good and strong as we could possibly hope for.  She's finding that her condition is progressing at a rate that doesn't please her, but she's fighting her illness with all her might.  Lyra, you're one strong lady...

I see that you're posting some comments, and an occasional original poem as well... We look forward to more when you feel up to it...

This is perhaps a good place to begin talking about what Lyra and I discussed in our phone conversation.  Most of you know that Lyra wants very much to host the next Passions Poetic Meet, along with the help of her friend and neighbor, Electra/SimplyGold.  There's no way to determine how Lyra will be feeling, but we talked about the possibility of making the meet a birthday party for her.  It seems that her past two birthdays haven't been very good ones, and she would dearly love to have a special day on her next one.  Lyra will be a year older on April 13th, folks.  We won't count upon her "active" planning of a party, but she'll surely be the ever-enthusiastic "hostess with the mostest" if we plan it around her.

Kalamazoo is a wonderful place for such a meet, with lots to see and do (comparatively speaking to the rest of the great state of Michigan... ).

So - Who among us would consider attending?  Respond here... Email me... We'll discuss further arrangements when we have an idea of who'd like to participate in making this wonderful lady's birthday an unprecedented Passionate gala event.

Whatcha think, my friends?

Love ya, Lyra...

Well that puts a whole new meaning to the song, "I gotta a gal in Kalamazoo" doesn't it?  Lyra, you are a true monument of strength but I also wanted you to know it is okay to lean on friends too, that is what we are for.

Sounds like a good plan Nan, and not an unreasonable request at all from such a wonderful lady as Lyra either.  I already checked out the shopping there, and wow - the Boyd's Bear store is there!  Not to mention that this is the magic capital of the world, do you suppose Lyra could do some magic and make RON appear?

What a wonderful idea, and the best parties of all are the ones where you can sit back and let everyone else plan it, then just attend.  Way to go Lyra, you have just pulled off a plan!

Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me.

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Paul, I'm so glad you asked and care about our special friend Lyra as we all do and love and miss her so much, sweet friend, God Bless You! (sigh) I too sure hope she's feeling better and I hope she comes back soon as we all continue to send angel healing hugs her way and if I could, I would be there for the next Passions meet in a snap, though I have so many busy things to do that might interfere!

(big hugggsssssssss) Know we all love you so much, dearest chipmunk, with our circle of hands may you always continue to heal with the warmth of our love!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I just want to confirm what Nan said about the Poetry Meet and birthday party for Lyra in April. She is eagerly looking forward to it!

She hopes to come back and post on Pip Talk real soon, but right now is fighting some really nasty pain that is a combination of bone mets and muscle injury. She finds it hard to sit at her computer and the pain medication is interfering with her concentration and has put her muse sleep. We are working to get the pain issues resolved so that she can lighten up on the medication.

In the meantime she does miss all of you and sends many loving chipmunk hugs!!!!

Thanks for the update, Dave. I'll focus on April. It is doubtful that I can attend, but miracles have happened before. Meanwhile I'm lighting candles and sending healing thoughts each day. Lyra, my hippiechick friend, you are always on my mind.  Peaceful hugs, and thanks Dave, for being you.

Paul

I'm so glad you posted this, as Lyra has been on my mind, and I have missed seeing her at Passions.  Nan, a birthday party in Michigan would be so much fun.  I'll work on trying to be able to come.

Dave...you really are super!  Give Lyra a gentle hug from me.

Thank you for the update on our friend Lyra.
I thought since I hadn't heard from her that she might not feel too well.

I would love to be included in the planning for the meet.
I will be making a trip that week back to Connecticut, but if I can make it work...I will.

All prayers to you Lyra...you know you are special to all of us. ThisDiamond

I have only known her a short time, but it seems like I have known her all my life. She is a sweet friend to all of us here at PIP and we all join together in prayer for her.

Dave just let her know we are all praying for her and pulling for her to get better.

Thanks to all...Paul

Please pass along some hugs to Lyra for me Dave ...

And let her know I'll look forward to giving her a birthday hug in person, in April.

Paul, thank you for posting this. I've been wondering about our sweet little Chippymunk, too. I miss her so much when she's not here. I was afraid that she wasn't feeling well, when I couldn't find her posts.

Nan, I think the meet and birthday party are a wonderful idea. Though I know that I won't be able to attend, my thoughts will be with all of you.

Lyra and Dave, my thoughts and prayers are with you both through this time. I pray that you, Lyra, will soon be able to come back to PIP. I miss your sweet replies to my poems so much. You have given me so much encouragement since I've been at PIP. Even though you've been in much pain, you always have a hug and smile, through your words to me and the others. Also, your poems are such an inspiration to me. You write with so much love and compassion. We all love you, dear sweet Lyra. You are such a good friend to have.
Dave, please give our friend hugs for us.
May God bless and keep you both in His care.

With love from Ethel

Nan,
Could you please keep me posted on the meet as I'd like to try to attend. It would be wonderful to meet some more of the special poets here and especially to get a chance to meet Lyra who I've heard so much about. Thanks
