I've been having some pain in my left leg for about 3 weeks now.  My family and everyone else keeps telling me that it acts like muscle pain because it only hurts when I walk... but I am scared and so I have a bone scan scheduled for this Friday...
I probably won't get the results until after Labor Day, though...

I know I keep bothering everyone for prayers...
but I would really appreciate it if you could pray that it isn't cancer...
I was really hoping to go to Florida...
and now I don't know if I will be able to...

I also set up an appointment for a second opinion with a small cell bladder cancer specialist at Vanderbilt Univ. next month...

Thank you all so very much for all of the thoughts and the prayers you have been sending me...
~ big thank you hugs from a chipmunk who has temporarily lost her scamper

Lyra,
So let me get this right...you think you are a pain in the what? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? What better way to prove a friendship then to offer love, support and prayers. All of which you are always welcome to. Anytime, anywhere. Courage and peace dear friend with prayers on the way.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

carved around the hearts of all

for our littlest chipmunk poet
who is held in your hearts so dear

Lyra, though I'm sure everything must be so scary now, perhaps it really is just a muscle strain.

Lyra, there is no question that you will continue to be in my prayers. And never ever feel badly about asking...we all are in need sometimes. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share with us...there are lots of members who feel pain, physical or mental, that never ask so we can't add them to our prayer list. Please let us know how things go....

Hey, you never left my prayers, and I betca you got a strained muscle, a quarter says I am right?  But...I also know how scared you are going to be with every new ache and pain, so you scamper right in here for a big, ole hug anytime you need it - we are more than happy to hold you in a hug and our prayers.  Stay strong, and don't let that great attitude go now Lyra.

Lyra~

There is a little place
where 'ChipperMunks' come to nest
It is in the heart of friends
who just love her the best~

So when the going gets rough
you can turn around
Shake that little 'ChipperMunk' booty
and know that friends are found~

We can lift your name
to the Greatest Healer we know
He will watch out for you
for He knows we love you so~

~I believe there is a miracle in the making~
You must believe it too
for God is at the ready
to take special care of you~

*All the love and prayers I can muster*
*Hugs* come along with the deal !

Never fear,
just look at the responses here!

A friend of mine was complaining of an ache in her leg for the past few days and found out yesterday that it was caused by an irritated disc in her back. She had lifted something at work and it began to show a few days later.

Hope all is well and your trip will still be made.             Just believe!!

Your friend's back injury probably was hitting a nerve and the nerve ran down her leg...
I know that this pain can come from my spine or my pelvis also because mine is also tracking along my sciatic nerve... I can feel it in my foot in the morning, wherever my foot touches the sheet,  but it could still be cancer...  Cancer can show up in any of our bones... thats whats so frightening.

Barry... thanks so much for your prayers.
I have been trying to get those acorns stuffed into my cheek pouches, but its really hard to scamper on 3 legs instead of 4.
I tried using a cane...but they don't make them small enough for chipmunks yet...
I guess thats a good business to start.
~ hugs from my heart

Marsha... thanks for those flying or floating prayers from across the pond...
It was so wonderful to speak to you the other day.  You gave me lots of confidence...
but I still can't say for sure whats going to happen.
I really don't think its osteoarthritis though, because nothing like that showed up on my last scan... and it seemed to have come on awfully quickly for that...
But, hopefully... I will get some answers soon enough so that I will be able to see you in 25 days
