Hi everyone!

I just got off the phone with Larry and he was excited to share that he had spent two and one half hours this afternoon with Ginger's senior English class today. He said it was an incredible experience that he would never have traded for anything.  He left there with a box of mementos, that are worth their weight in gold to both he and his wife.

He wanted to share this article that appeared in the local paper today with all of you as it is about his daughter.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/71397_teachers22.shtml

Larry asked that I tell you that the poems from your hearts, emails of support, and your understanding are worth so much to them.  He never fully realized until something awful like this had to happen, the true value of belonging to a wonderful place like Passions in Poetry, and being part of the extended family he has made here.

Apparently a Shelly Crump from the school where Ginger worked has joined Pipps and the students are trying to post here as well but he was unable to find her on site, so if anyone can help will you let me know please.

Ginger's funeral is being held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, but her burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. so Larry will not be back in Phoenix until Tuesday evening now.

He said, if there seems to be a delay in his being on line or answering you it is because he is faced with hooking up a new ADSL connection to get online when he gets home so that will be the lapse.

He sent his love to everyone and gratitude.

To those that were involved in sending the spray of flowers there will be thank you notes being sent from The Chadwick Family when Larry returns home.  He won't receive the listing of contributors until tomorrow and has limited access to a computer at the moment, so I imagine he will deal with this task when he gets home. The flowers, organized by Martie, will be delivered on Saturday to the funeral home for the memorial service.

Thank you,

Sharon on behalf of Larry Chadwick

Kellie Cantrell has joined as well, and has a beautiful poem up for Ginger.

I am still crying. The keyboard is a blur, but I thank you, for this update. I am still beside myself. Is there such a place?

Thank you Sharon....

I would rather have one breath of his hair,
one kiss of his mouth,
one touch of his hand
than an eternity without it.

Hi I just thought in case you missed this on the poem I wrote I would copy Larry's partial response here so you will know what he is up to...(partial comment on my poem from Larry C)

I spent the last two days at the High School celebrating Ginger's life with those that shared it...her students. You can expect some fun and celebratory poetry from that absolutely incredible gift.

Bless you all...Larry

Thank you again, Sharon. And for Larry, many hearthugs. There is no need for individual thank yous or comments, we are all one family, and this family is all singing and hearing the same note...LOVE.

And I am listening to soft music right now, to honor Ginger's life, as I know her father would want us to remember her life. Goodbye, Ginger. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

I got a wonderful email from Larry tonight and I would like to share part of it with you.  Today his daughter was buried, and if you want to meet a man that anyone would be proud to have as a father, it is this man....

Thank you dear friend. The flowers were incredible... There must have been
300 people there today. Many, many students and staff. The service was such
an upbeat celebration. It was flawless. 28 years and an incredible impact on
so very many lives. I'd be pleased for half that at 52. I am so proud. Her
memory lives on in so many hearts.

I can't begin to tell you Sharon how much your love and support strengthened
us this week. I printed off all of the threads relating to Ginger and added
all the notes written by her students. It literally filled a 2" binder and
has overwhelmed my family with encouragement. Now I have to make several
copies (a huge task) but will be so proud to share her legacy.

Today was incredible. We will bury her Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. and can
hardly believe how many people plan to come back for that service as well.

What an amazing child my daughter was. She has made her pops so very proud.

Love,
Larry

Well today another angel is watching over her loved ones, may his daughter Ginger rest in heavenly peace.

~* Tell someone in your family that you love them today *~
