I haven't been around too much
So try to understand
The small fact slipped right by me
That our Liz hit 7 grand!!!!

Seven thousand entries made
Of poems and replies....
Her talent always fills me full
Of wonder and surprise.

Ms. Santos, you're the queen of rhyme.
At meter you're the best.
At finding ways to make us think
You're far above the rest.

So please accept my humble thanks
For sharing all you do.
There may be other poets but
There's no one quite like you!

Liz - It's my fault... He's been out playing with me... but that'd also explain why I didn't see it myself - I was out playing with Deer...

Well...I came here in March and decided to stay after reading your poetry as I thought if this is the calibre of poetry at this site, then I want to be a part of it! As you know, I read your poems each and every single day thereafter and still do, but the best part now is I treasure you as one of my closest, dearest friends, so congratulations for me hardly seems the word to use but "I Love You Lizzie" sure does! You write right into my very soul, but you know that, and sharing your gift here is the greatest gift to anyone who feasts their eyes on your poetry. So yes, congratulations but thank you for your poetry and for simply being the wonderful person behind the words.

I've heard it said, it's not the years but the miles tread that makes a soul grow old,
and 7,000 is a lot of footsteps taken in a slow easy pace, and so I've got a lot of milage left in me, a lot of poetry in my heart and a lot to learn from you, Mr bowing Balladeer. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be among so many fine poets and I thank you for your words of cheer.
You have been my inspiration, dear poet friends, and I am very appreciative
