I shall begin: No license is required to call one's self a psychotherapist. (Karen's looking for her glasses, but the source is the current issue of Reader's Digest--if I'm mistaken, please correct me. I'm not mistaken? Do NOT be afraid to ask for credentials, past experience, success rate, et al.. and yeah, I know, it's a pretty vulnerable state to be in to practice being assertive, but you might as well start at the beginning, yes?)

*snap*snap*

<--not making fun--you are not only allowed, you'd be considered responsible to ask to see licenses, diplomas, etc.

My parents contacted the DNR to find out the eco friendly way to fix the beach. They told her to bury fifty pine trees and over time they will rot and sand will fill in.....

Not that the ph would kill the minnows that lurk in the shallows.

Ed, I had just talked to her, so I thought when Marie told me you posted her passing on Facebook, that it could be right.  I am still in a state of shock.  The only logic I can find in this is at least she won't have any more pain, or fear any more hurricanes.  I really thought she was going to make it through George's death, I was wrong.  I have a huge hole in my heart I tell you.  I loved that girl.

Karenity and I have had scant contact over the past few years, mostly the occasional "Yes, I know I'm a terrible friend" emails.

Still, she was an important person in my life for all the reasons she was important many

This one's hard for me.  Karen and I have emailed off and on for years... since she first came to Passions and adopted me as her mentor. (She would swear by that statement; though her style, angst, and sarcasm were blended into a unique form of poetry I could never aspire to have been part of).  Her poetry was her soul laid bare like few have ever had the guts to.

I am not sure how to proceed here.  A world without Karen is hard to imagine for me.  I so seldom leave lines of communication open for anyone... Karen, though, was the one person whom I would always, always respond to when she had something to share with me.  I feel a great emptiness knowing I will not be graced with that opportunity again.  In a world where I have always felt out of place, she was one of the few persons who ever truly got me, and I her as well.

She wanted to do a duo with me... a role-reversal on Pandora and Promethius of sorts.  In time I am sure I will want to write it for her, since the very concept was so her... and is so worth preserving.  Gonna take some time off first though.  This just hurts.

Michael
