I've decided to devote myself to the teachings of Buddha. I was wondering if anyone here is also Buddhist and is willing to help me with understanding a couple things. Please & thanks!

     My practice is more taoist.

If you're interested in Buddism, however, I found the following book very useful years ago, and I see it's now available as a free download.  It's written by a Vietnamese monk who is famous worldwide.  It's clear, simple though not always easy, and refreshing as a spring rain.
