Varied and many, I'm afraid. Outside of writing, photography, grandchildren [and not always in that order] as well as work, which I am now enjoying; friends, cooking, baking, gardening, having animals own me [which I'm missing mightily right now]; going to plays, theater, and traveling...

I'm lucky there's at least 24 hours in a day!

That's a lot of hobbies. What kind of motives do you prefere when it comems to photografing?
Also, do you take black and white photo's or do you prefere color?

Gardening - well, flowering, rather! I used to landscape quite a bit.  I love to swim, dance, and travel, but don't get to do it as much as I'd like. I used to be on myspace and really enjoyed it as a digital scrapbook.

Reading.

I had a longer list before the internet, though.

Okay. I did an oil pastel a few months ago.

It felt..nice. It looked pretty bad though.

And I'm trying to "root" some White Oleander. Just because it is....White Oleander.

I used to cook.

But I can no longer eat the things I used to cook, and I don't call slicing cantaloupe, "cooking".

OH.

I like to watch the neighbors. *grin*

ALOT.

(There's a few rentals around me now, and one of them that's rented seems to be sharing "home" with two other families. Not all at once--it's like--they exchange? I haven't figured it out yet.)

Movies. I really like to watch movies. Sometimes I like to watch bad ones and re-write them.

Music--I gave my son my guitar, but I like to listen alot.

And that's about it.

A little spy, eh?
*takes down the roller blind*

And what's White Oleander?
My dictionary won't help me out here. xP

I can't believe I didn't write reading... ahhh, who am I kidding.  I do like to read, but lately haven't read much.  I like vampire romance... who would've thunk it!

White Oleander is a plant, with poisonous properties.

It's also a book.

And a movie!

Okay. Yay, now I know something I didn't know before.

You don't happen to know a good way to fall asleep?
It's almost 5 am here and no luck for me so far. @.@

Figure skating! I absolutely love to skate! Besides that my hobbies vary from reading, to drawing, to music and even randomly bursting out in dance or song – even in the middle of a street or store. Oh! And I love watching people’s reactions to anything different or “odd” such as spontaneous dancing! = ]

I also like gardening. Well maybe not so much the gardening part but actually having flowers or even knowing a bit about them. Above I saw that someone mentioned white oleander, which I find to be a gorgeous  and interesting flower. Interesting, in how deceptive it is- appearing fragile yet also deadly. However I guess that is true with a number of plants.

Another of my favorite hobbies is gathering fairly useless though interesting bits of information. I adore anything random or peculiar for it makes me laugh and I do love to laugh!

I wish I could tell you of something that could help you sleep but I am sadly without an answer. In fact, I could really use the answer myself.

I know of two ways to fall asleep.

One of them is Beowulf.

Wow. I can see that before me. =3
Also, my friends and I enjoy doing the same thing. Last summer, to celebrate the summer holidays, we walked through the town mall with pillows on our heads. Wonderful.
This time, we're discussing whether we should have books this time or we chould walk in towels. With underwear, of course.

Can't wait!

Studying ancient works of literature in their original tongues, especially Iliad and Aeneid.  Studying the languages is always very encompassing, for through the language you become connected to so much more: to the great literature that used the language and important aspects of the culture in which the language was spoken and written.

I have way too many hobbies; I need to drop a few actually. The most recent is playing the didgeridoo. I picked it up a couple of months ago, getting pretty good too.

Edward Grim-of-one-em?

Sometimes I suspect you are trying to make me fall in love with you!

The didgeridoo?

ABSOLUTELY one of the most fascinating musical instruments ever, and yanno? I never once had a boring conversation with a didgeridoo-ist!

LOVE IT.

wow.

(Y'got something recorded yet?)

Hahaha!

Well, you know, K, I have been called a male siren once or twice in my life.

Everyone in my family plays classical piano so it's only obvious that I had to play the didgeridoo.

The only problem I have is mastering circular breathing, I've always had a tinge of asthma so it's taking quite a bit to boost my lungs' self esteem.

But I'll definitely make a recording once I get things sorted out.

I'm game for anything really, but at the moment my hobbies include, but are not limited to: theatrical combat*, reading, cooking, soccer, running, watching movies, and anything dealing with music**.

*Theatrical Combat is basically a form of staged martial arts. It includes techniques from fencing and other various asian art forms. It's pretty cool. Although you really have to be patient and have great descipline if you want to practice it. Plus your bokken (wooden sword) or steel can bite you at times. Don't ask.

**I've played the flute for eight years. Quite a beautiful instrument. Common, but beautiful, at least in sound. It's no didgeridoo, but it will do.
I have a question. What exactly does a didgeridoo sound like because I've seen pictures and it look like it is quite an interesting instrument.

I'm thinking of taking up the guitar once I get some extra cash. I've always wanted to learn.

That's me for you.

Jill

Quincey Matjacki
Now he is just a great digeradoo'er

Oh brother I have tons of hobbies, but I guess the most unique is that I take daily walks with the dog, looking for special shells, rocks and pieces of wood or colored glass for my yard that have washed up on shore.  I try to figure the story they have to tell, and then write it in my journal when I get home.  Besides that daily ritual, I play, cook, write, knit, sew, paint, travel, garden, meditate, listen to music, seek out laughter, and create special moments in time with my family.  I spend every second I can outside exploring my surroundings.  In my spare time, I love fighting City Hall on issues that bug me and other folks around me.       Great topic.
