Hi everyone

I've just had a quick look around and will probably have some questions later but just wanted to say hello before I go exploring again. I'll try and upload a photo soon.

I am originally from Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands (inbetween England and France) but am now living in Cambodia. An interesting place right now.

I've also just opened a bar, right at the beginning of the rainy season but that suits me fine, I have time to settle in.

Over the last few years I've found my interest in writing poetry returning and I am enjoying playing with different styles and formats (sorry, don't know any of the techy names yet).

A friend of mine gave a book yesterday to read. Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg. Wow!
I've only read a bit so far but it couldn't have come at a better time for me.

Ok so sorry so much about me Been rained in for a few hours. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Claire

Welcome to Passions, Claira. The administrators will be glad to help you upload your photo once you've attained the minimum posts. But I'm sure that your talents in writing will soon see that!

I look forward to reading your poetry, and prose, if you dabble in that as well. And good luck on your newest enterprise!

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Write on!

Thank you for the warm welcome ladies.
Still finding my way around and I'll probably seek into some lessons soon.

Sunshine, I've dabbled a bit in prose but am eager to do more. Still feel a bit green in that area, so may be a while before I feel ready to post some on here...but then again

Nice to be asked Alison.
Either is fine really. Claira is mainly what my friends and family call me.

Do you prefer Alison? Or do you shorten to Ali?

You might want to leave it for a few months Mr Deer, it's the start of the rainy season, but you'd most welcome anytime. I may even buy you a drink or two ;p
