Just a suggestion here Paige. People being what they are, familiarity is the key. When you start, it's usually better to respond to other's work so folks get used to your name and feel like they know you. Always try to post more responses than original threads. After a bit, I think you'll find a lot of friends here at PIP.

Hi Paige,

Give it time - if you post on the teen section, I don't respond over there.  I'll keep an eye out for your poems in another section.

Welcome to PiP and just enjoy yourself.

Dear Paige

When we were new, and I was old, even then, as a lot of poets I met were already familiar with one another, I was within the 200 mark of names known.

We now number over 11,000 names.

WOW...talk about a site that works with one another to give and let live!

As Not a Poet said, if you interact, and not just be a dumper, as some folks are, you will find a willing family, but it takes some quality time, just as anything worthwhile doing, does.

You wouldn't expect to walk into a restaurant, enjoy a meal, and leave a meager tip of one or two poems, and expect the maitre'd to expect you the next time with willing arms, right?

PiP is all about family, Paige. We hope to have you here a long time.

Should you ever need assistance or have any questions, just contact a moderator. We're here to help.

And again, a warm welcome!
