I noticed in 'Open Poetry #42' that someone has made 2 accounts and is 'bumping' up their own posts. Is this allowed?

Hi Tina,

Not sure if this is me (Alison/aziza).  I came to PiP and posted a lot of poems under the name "aziza" -- However, in time, I wanted to use my own name.  Sometimes, I respond to an aziza poem under the name "Alison" as I don't use the other account.  I am not going to log out and re-log in to respond.  It's not to bump my poems to the top.  It's to acknowledge the fact that some have taken time to respond to them.

As I said, I am not sure if you meant me - but, I could be accused of doing just what you speak of.

Hugs and all that good stuff,

Alison

Wasn't you darling...just a couple of new members that seemed to be helping each other along. I think I was mistaken.

Thank you, Tina, for bringing this to the attention of the moderators. ALL members should remember that if they should choose to adopt a new name, there is no harm in that.

However, PiP will not allow a member's alternative user name to promote their other user name to be "bumped up" to the top of any forum.

Any member who chooses to switch names should be VERY AWARE of which name they are posting under, and not use their alternative name to bump their original poetry.

That said? Write on!

Hey Tina,

Thanks for addressing this question publicly.  I'll be sure to switch ideas (or beg people to never respond to 'aziza' again -- grins).  I can see what I saw as manners could look like self-promotion.  I'll do my Superman trick and whisk through a phone booth (are there any of those around any more?).

It's a bird!  It's a plane!  NO! It's an Alison-aziza!

xoxoxo

Thanks, darlin'.
