Mad Money, Mythbusters, Adult Swim and whatever strikes my fancy on History. For background noise, I generally leave it on CNBC, except on weekends.....there's only so many informercials I can tolerate in a given sitting. Actually, there aren't ANY infomercials I can tolerate!

Your question answers itself, since people tend to watch what interests them if given a choice and total control of the remote.

Ali, I would have thought you were one to watch shows that are complicated and need solving like the CSI series....

People actually do get to watch TV????
lol

Actually, I watch Fox and Friends in the morning, if I don't have to be at work before it comes on, and occasional M*A*S*H re-runs. When I am at the Kitchen, they usually have some sporting event or another playing in the bar, and I watch that.

You may burn my flag... only after you wrap yourself in it first.

In Prime Time I try to watch all three CSI programs, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, Cold Case, Without A Trace, Numbers, Shark, sometimes NCIS, sometimes Boston Legal. Pre-Prime Time I watch Seinfeld and Everyone Loves Raymond reruns. And then usually from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm I watch House Hunters on HGTV, and then Bill O'Reilly at 8:00 pm (if it is something I find interesting), if not I watch whatever else might be on HGTV. But usually somewhere along the line I fall asleep for an hour or two or three so I really don't watch as much TV as it sounds.

What do you watch Sharon?

I watch TV. And I love the show 'Heroes' on Monday night on NBC. I also love The Amazing Race (and am currently hooked on TAR Asia on YouTube). And Survivor. I used to like Lost until it started to drag on and on...

Well, I used to PdV, original and Miami, as well as Alton Brown's Good Eats. But I never know when they come on now and have missed so much. *chuckle* I don't even know which CSI season is on, and have never watched CSI NYC. Just something about Sarah Jessica I just can't wrap my arms around.

You are what you watch?

That certainly explains a lot, Sharon. I had a DVD get stuck in my player last year and it's only thing I've been able to watch since then. The movie?

Grumpy Old Men, of course.

*cracking up*

And I thought I had a monopoly on "absurd".

For what it's worth, though, I watch "House."

And yep, it must mean something.

I would LOVE to have a mean and sarcastic doc, especially if he could diagnose me, cure me or kill me within an hour.

I watch a mirror but nothing good is ever on, lol.

I mostly watch foreign films and old flicks. The only good stuff on the tube is History, Dicovery sometimes and a good documentary on the Doc channel.

(And cartoons, I admit it. I will never tire of my toons.)

Yes it's me...

I watch all new episodes of Prison Break, Vanished, Shark, House, Boston Legal, 3 Lbs., Jericho, NCIS, Criminal Minds, all 3 CSI's, Close to Home, Numbers, Cold Squad, Nip/Tuck, Stone Undercover, and all new episodes of Meerkat Manor. All I can say is thank God for DVR when the only thing on is the infomercials.

After my wife's shows are done recording (CSI's, House, Ghost Whisperer, Vanished, Law & Order(s), Cold Case, Close to Home, Medium, Numbers, Criminal Minds, Prison Break and etc. and etc. and etc. - I have no idea where she finds time to watch them all!!!), there's only enough room for 2 shows for me to record:

Heroes is really starting to grow on me - have watched from the beginning, but interest started to wane as the story began to drag on - last week's episode, however, rekindled my interest. besides, nothing with Ali Larter in it can be all that bad.

The only other show I watch (or should I say TiVo) is Smallville. Own all the previous seasons on DVD and am quite irate that they are skipping new episodes last week and this week.

I guess if I am what I watch, I'm a hero either way.

Christopher, I'm hooked on Heroes..it's the best new show this season!

Save the cheerleader, save the world! (and I love that Hiro's father will be played by 'Sulu' from Star Trek)

Heroes has some interesting stuff going on, but I greatly fear for its future.

Just as Survival spawned a ton of reality shows (the current bane of television!), I'm afraid the success of Lost is spawning a host of never-ending-mystery shows. They know once the Grand Mystery is revealed the show will be pretty much over. Surface comes to mind, along with The 4400, Invasion, Jericho, Threshold, and the newest one, Day Break. If the producers were to treat these shows as movies or mini-series, that would be fine. Movies conclude, mini-series eventually end. However, if they try to milk that cow for three seasons, as Lost has done, the cream can't hardly help but turn a bit sour.

After you've saved the cheerleader, saved the world, what do you do for an encore?

and how long did it take for Gilligan to get off that island?

I don't watch a lot of TV...but when I do I watch Grey's Anatomy, ER, Housewives, Southpark, and whatever may be on Comedy Channel (except Reno 911..that shows is just horrible).

I don't watch anything every week.  I never know what is going on.

My thought too, Ron... but then again, 24 seems to be doing just fine, right? There's always another threat to the world waiting around the next season.

I agree Sharon, it's a lot of fun - I didn't know that about Hiro's father though. Should be interesting!
