Two months ago, y'all offered the dearest outpouring of sympathy and support to my family and I, as we all coped with the loss of my cousin Jeremy Shank in Iraq September 6th in Iraq.

Southeast Missourian: November 10, 2006

Being the first Veterans Day since this heartbreaking day occurred, this has been an especially emotional Veterans Day for me, and reaching a climatic point when I found this moving article about Jeremy's father, Jim, telling school children exactly what heroes are all about, and how they truly are among every young pair of eyes we gaze upon that we love dearly.

Just thought perhaps many others here who knows those like Jeremy Shank could relate to what his father said here......and that indeed, as Balladeer couldn't have put more perfectly......we all bear that "small pain in our chests" as we're all in this together.

God Bless Y'all, and Happy Veterans Day Weekend!

Love,
Noah Eaton

A very heart wrenching article Noah, and the part that got me the most is the truth about his son not being able to show he cared, but he knew he did.  We do know somehow inside when people care, but boy it is sure nice to hear and see it too at times.  I wish all kids could express love more freely without holding back.

It has to be very difficult for your family and my hearts still goes out to you and your cousin's family.
