Me too~

I heard this story breaking ... but had been aware for a couple of months, through an FBI relative, that there was a person in Thailand that was of GREAT INTEREST as a suspect~

I pray the wheels of justice keep turning on this one~

I'll gladly twist the rope myself....he can watch me make it, strand by strand, foot by foot.

oh...

I actually get physically sick reading about this.

But I do wonder, Ed, (if I might address you personally) could you really kill someone?

I have heard it takes some long minutes, to strangle someone inch by inch...I heard they turn colors and gurgle and mouth the word "please"...and go all bug-eyed before they die.

Just somethin' I heard, and yep, I usedta have some dubious company. Really.

And I'm not picking on ya, I have thought about this, and I know I would have to recuse myself from a jury in such a case.

I find myself understanding murderous rage all too well.

And I exit sighing, because the last opinion poll I read? Her mother did it.

Now that's hell.

Judged and sentenced and now, dead. (But no, wait, we have new evidence?)

Life truly is a sad sad thing sometimes.

And yep, I acutally get physically sick thinking about this stuff.

When I said "I hope they got this guy good"...

I mean to say, I hope it's the right person.  After nearly a decade, to have kept on this case must have been very frustrating...

and words can be twisted so easily into a confession...

So, I hope they got the right person.

I do too, sun.

I just can't help m'self, I won't stop thinking about the pain of a woman who lost the obvious light of her life, and died condemned...

'til now?

Since you asked --

Your question makes it clear that you do not know me. If you did, you wouldn't need to ask.

In most circumstances, the answer is "No." In certain other circumstances, it is a resounding "Yes."

In a case like this one, it's "You bet I would."

And so far we have only his "confession"?
Lots of folks confess to lots of things.
I'll wait for some evidence.

Looks like most of the "evidence" is leaning the other way.

It'll be awhile before they sort things out, and I fancy that we're only scratching some twisted iceberg.

I want to apologize to you Ed.

I obviously get emotional about this one--I get enraged that the child's memory is exploited as well.

I took my cue from my hero, Oprah Winfrey.

She had Jon Benet on her program, and refused to join the media bandwagon by replaying that footage, and as far as I know she mentioned it but once, saying that she would never show the footage again, nor would she allow anyone else to do so.

I'm mad at the media, sweetie.

Not you.

My apologies.

I really hope they have the right guy...And I hope he gets what he deserves!  JonBenet is my 3rd cousin and I couldn't tell you how important this case is to me.  I just recently found out that i'm related to her.  I really hope they've found the right man.

I remember us together
I remember the times we shared
I remember when we loved eachother
I remember when you once cared.

Charges against Karr have been dropped due to inconclusive DNA evidence.  It has been and remains to be my view that he did not commit this crime.  Though I'll freely admit to being wrong if proven otherwise.  Howsoever, I do feel that Karr, more coward him, preferred American prisons to Thai ones over the investigations of him by Thai authorities for child molestation, child pornography, and child prostitution.  At least here, if a prisoner is beaten by a guard, it becomes known.  If a prisoner is tortured, it becomes known.  If a prisoner is deprived of food, water, shelter, clothing, or sleep, it is known.  Even if a prisoner is deprived of cable television or educational or legal access, it is known.  The same cannot be said of Thailand: they have their own laws and methodologies.  So I can understand why Karr would make his allegations of wrongdoing if given the choice between which style of prison system.

Having no money, he did manage to get a free plane ticket home. As I understand the charges against him in Thailand, I wonder why they were so cooperative in sending him here. Now I wonder if they will ask us to send him back for trial there.

I'm with you Ali. They whole thing always sounded ficticious. Now I think we know why.

P.S. A little later research indicates that California has a lot more on him than Thailand. It looks now like that's where he is headed next.

Ali, I believe you hit the nail on the head, and have thought the same all along...

Laws in other coutries are much strickter then ours, their prisions are horrible places to go to, and the prisoners, have no rights...

I believe he only wanted to get out of Thailand and back to the states, so he made up this story, yuppers, I'm with ya on this one Ali....

He ain't homefree though. Being extradited to California where he's been wanted for 5 years for multiple counts of child molestation.  Hopefully, his 15 minutes of fame have expired.

I hope they put him away forever...where every man/woman who molests a child even once, should go, a deep dark and horrible place,  and that is not anger, just the way I feel...no one but no one has the right to harm a child, not even a 16 year old boy or younger....child molestation is to me, a really low life crime...how dare anyone take advantage of a child...harm a child or take their lives....I just wonder when society will wake up and demand more harsh laws, more prisons, with very little rights to anything...

can you just imagine what Thailand would have done with him....does anyone know?
