Hello everyone, I'm a 34year old British female, living in Barcelona with my 10 year old son, and 40 something man(...feeling all age-concious, now. I do it to myself...)

Anyway, I've been browsing this site, so I thought it was time I showed myself, as you lot are showing me. I'm enjoying the vast scope of subjects this place has to offer, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

In poetry, I've not had any formal education, but read on the philosophy of literature avidly. I'm interested in the cause and effect of logos, word, like a letter of breath. It's a powerful thing.

I look forward to sharing

Onelove.

Welcome to this curious place.
Many of us arrived here without formal poetry education, so you needn't feel uncomfortable about that.
I look forward to your philosophical point of view.  The word IS a powerful thing.

Thanks for the welcome, S Arthur Grey.

I don't feel uncomfortable, I think a lot of curriculums are more about 'induction', a forcing in, than 'education', a leading out; yet I understand the power of codes. Without them, we'd be lost, for sure! That's why, although I'm a freestyle writer, I respect and admire strict form. I like to play and work with both, et al.

(I have a friend that smuggled me a pass for the university library, years ago. For 2 years, I was in that library sifting through the most amazing stuff. Now I've got the internet, I can revise what's sparked my interest, and hopefully hone my scatta-brain into some sort of form of my own.)

I'm giving it a lifetime, though. I'm a bit slow.

I have no formal education, either, but like S Arthur Grey said, none of us do. I will look forward to reading your posts. Welcome!

Thanks, Late Arrival, Skyshine, and Marge-good to see you here! I'm feeling all warm inside, recognising your name, as this place is so huge! I'm sure I'll get to know all you poets soon, though-I'm losing hours, just reading!
