Help!

Little Boxes
Go ahead, push the little arrow on that player if you dare

I love that show "Weed" on Bravo, but now I can't get Malvina Reynold's song out of my head.  Help!  I even woke up at 3 this morning humming the dang thing!

Any suggestions?  I am driving everyone else nuts nutty too by humming and singing all the time.  Seriously!

So?  What is the song stuck in your noodle?

Sharon, it is a catchy tune alright.  Now, I'll be humming it, too.  And, yano, it's so true.  I had never thought about it, but it is so true.  Also, reminds me of Big Yellow Tax (not the tune, but the thought).  Thanks for sharing.   ....jo

I remember that song from way back when and think of it every now and again when passing a new subdivisions under construction.

My son(at about 6 yrs of age) went to the store with me to get things for our picnic.  So I wouldn't be distracted by his normal curiosity, I told him he had to remember ketchup, eggs, hot dogs and a table cloth, or I'd forget something and we couldn't go.  A few days later he rattled the list off saying he still remembered it all. Not necessary anymore, I'd told him.  A week later when he repeated it, I said, "You can forget it now, we bought it, had the picnic, and there's no reason to remember it anymore." About a month later, he told me he still remembers eggs, etc..When I laughed, "Would you please forget it now?" he said, "I don't know how to forget.  How do you forget?"  Believe me, I've never forgotten that, and over the years have thought how we always work on trying to recall things but seldom on how to forget.
When you find out, let me know. LOL

Hugs,
   Rae

This type of crisis always requires a serious effort to resolve.

Basically , the human mind uses the brain as a quantum computer.  To apply some of the concepts of quantum physics here in order to clear the memory registers of unwanted debris, you should find a copy of "In Spite Of Ourselves" by John Prine on the album of the same title.  This should be played three times in a row at a moderately loud level, preferably while sitting in a comfortable chair.

If no chair is available, you may stand.  Either way, when this treatment is done, and you have stopped LYAO, you may pick yourself up off the floor and continue with your day - though possibly with a different song stuck in your head.

For some situations, this treatment should be applied weekly.

A friend of mine told me to play the Theme Song from Hockey Night in Canada and it will erase the other song you can't get rid of, lol.  I'm sending it to you Sharon!

if it's any consolation, Sharon, my son has been watching "Blues Clues" enough lately, that the only song I seem to have in my head these days is "we just got a letter, we just got a letter, we just got a letter, i wonder who it's from!"

grrr..

sympathy & understanding.
