I am new here. I found this place in a desperate attempt to find a poem that touched my heart in my senior year of highschool. After 5 years, the words of the once memorized work have faded. I have searched everywhere I can think of, to no avail. This is my last effort to see if maybe someone out there is familiar with the poem, and or may know where I can find it. The only information I have to go on is the following: Possible title: Muster Call, Muster Roll, Roll Call, or any other variation. The poem speaks of a soldier that happens across a wounded soldier on the brink of death. The first soldier starts praying for the other soldier and the wounded soldier says something to the effect of "Shhh (or maybe "quiet"), the angels call the muster roll, i wait to hear my name." Please... if anyone has any suggestions, I would be greatly in your debt. Thank you all.

I tried to Google this with the following:

"the angels call the muster roll"

And this is one of the links that popped up:

For some reason, I'm sure this is not what you are looking for, so maybe one of our other members will be able to assist you!

Regretfully that is not what I am looking for. This story/poem is about a wounded soldier. Thanks for the attempt though. I am trying to find this poem so I can post it on another forum on which I am a moderator. I think that this poem will be beneficial to anyone who reads it, and I personally think it will help one of the members there with some problems they are dealing with. I have exhausted all possible sources that i can think if save calling my old highschool to see if by chance anyone might know what poetry book I am talking about and might be able to fax me a copy. But that was 5 years ago like i said, so its a little farfetched. Thanks again for the help so far, I am eagerly awaiting some more input. Thanks again in advance everyone.

ok, here is another link, and while I haven't found the "poem" in it, perhaps [and my not knowing where you originate from] this may be a possible starting point?

I do wish you the best!
