The answer to your question, littlewing, is:

"you can't."

Remembering some old time rock and roll, folks.

I have a new one - Bubbly by Colbie Caillat, and not only me but the grandkids all sing it non-stop.  I love it!

Here why should I be alone singing...Bubbly

Racey- Some Girls (very politically incorrect too )

Some girls will, some girls won't
Some girls need a lot of lovin' and some girls don't.

The Dimple Song      "On the baby's knuckle...  On the baby's knee...   Where will the baby's dimple be?"   I sing it all the time.   I heard a story years ago that Robert Plant sang it at his audition for Led Zeppelin.   ::shrugs::

I also LOVE   (((Surfing Bird)))    It is one of my "highway" songs

I'd have to read the whole thread again.

But actually, that's kind of entertaining too! (I read it before I bumped it up.)

sometimes I just feel nostalgic for nostalgia...

Dang. I had one about two hours ago, which has now escaped my mind...[oh it's early in the evening, folks, go ahead and laugh!] and I know I'll think of it in the morning [images are coming to mind...] but for now, let's leave you with...

She wore blue....vel..vet...um..hummmm
bluer than velvet, were her eyes....

hmmm...well I finally got thru the whole thread here!!  and my offering will be:

I've been working on the railroad,
all the live long day,
I've been working on the railroad
just to pass the time away.

yes, well, it does go better with music...!! When I was at healthcamp many many moons ago, we would go for walks and sing that song EVEN THOUGH there was no sign of a railroad in sight! ah,what nice memories....     RDB

"This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine..."

Hmmm. There's just something about singing that--I just can't stay upset when I do.

It's like that old song..

"Jada, Jada.
Jada jada jing jing jing.

Jada. Ohhhhhhh Jada.
Jada jada jing jing jing."

(Here's where I "sell" it with Whoopi Goldberg's shoulder action and snapping fingers)

"That's a funny bit o melody,
but it's so soothing and appealing to me -
It goes Jada, yeah Jada jada,
Jada Jada Jing Jing Jing!"

Oy! What a question!

Umm...

I would have to say the Charlie Brown theme song and Latin Dance by Fat Boy Slim.

There... I just bore my soul.

I'm a dork on a retro kick, so I'll have to say..."what is "drink, drink, drink" by Mario Lanza, Alex."

To me the "itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini" is a given, so I bypassed it-sorry...damn now that you mentioned it I have it stuck in my head...
