Mississippi Squirrel Revival

Jumpin' garters and crossin' thighs just makes me giggle hehehehe

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we might as well dance.

I am blushing as I type--this one always made me happy, and yep, everybody is like, "TURN THAT OFF", but sigh, it just makes me feel, sorta bouncy:

Mambo #5
by Lou Bega

"A little bit of Monica in my life
A little bit of Erica by my side
A little bit of Rita's all I need
A little bit of Tina's what I see
A little bit of Sandra in the sun
A little bit of Mary all night long
A little bit of Jessica here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man"

Sheesh.

*ahem*

Ya'll may continue now.

Hey SEA, I LOVE Prince, nobody else does!

K?

you just made me think of Ricky Martin now, thanks.

*grin*

Raph?  What are you singing?  and THAT made me think of that baby back ribs commercial:

'scuse me while I get a pot to beat on . . .

Another confession:

My son was perusing through my music library and he screeched when he came across,

"Like Humans Do" and was amazed that I hadn't deleted it. (nod...doesn't it come programmed into everybody's music library?)

And then I screeched when he almost deleted it "for" me!

"Y'mean you meant to keep it?"

I did.

I also enjoy "Burnin' Down The House." (and came close on a few occasions too.)

And OH....one more?

but this one is only fun to dance to:

"Love Shack" by the B-52's--lotsa literal bouncing when I hear that one!

Neil Diamond [who else?] has two songs on his Tennessee Album..."Everybody" and "Marry Me"...

There are a couple of lines in both that just go right to the bone...or at least, my bones shiver...he never lost his ability to get me moving...mentally, physically...emotionally...never never never...

I always thought if I were a muppet,
I would be Jan, you know?

Dr. Teeth's baked (what did she do anyhow?)

aww, now that made me think of that tune Gonzo sings when he is floating away on the balloons,  "Rainbow Connection"

Someone has to start a movie thread . . .

i believe you're right - i just know it's a staple from the young days when the only  music i knew existed was the stuff mom and dad played (think Patti Smith... argh, talk about developmental debilitation!)

I was just going to say Elvira, OMG I haven't heard that since I was like 10.

LMAO over here, picturing Raph with that
Homer five o'clock shadow.
(Isn't it always on Homer's face?)

Carly Simon, mann, that makes me think of
"You're So Vain", an awesome tune.

"You walk-ed in-to the parrrtyeee,
like you were walkin' onto a yacht.
You're hat stra-teg-ically dipped
be-low one eye,
your scarf it was apricot.
You had onnnneee eyyyeee innn the mirrrorrr asss
you watched yourself gavotte,
and all the girls wish-ed that
they'd be your partnerr,
they'd be your partner and . . ."

Sorry.

*smile*

I love the muppets (yes, the bassist, sheesh)and remember when the Oak Ridge Boys used to win the music awards every single year . . . see?
