Does anyone watch the show Lost?  And if so, what's your take on where it's going?

Gosh, it's so hard, just when I think I've got the scenerio...they throw something else in which takes you in a whole different direction....but it's still got my attention...can't wait to see what happens this week?

I watch it with Jon. He is more into it than I am. It's definately interesting, but I am kinda wishing they would "get to it" whatever "it" may be that is on that island.

I watched it a few times and I am not interested. It hasn't caught my attention.

Okay, I am passionately addicted to the show.  And I love all the twists and turns.  I think that a lot of the power that the island has is psychic, it plays upon the thoughts and fears of the people upon the island.  I wondered last week if the knife guy was good or bad - I'm thinking good - whatever, it is a heack of a ride.  Interested in seeing what the creature is too.  It has all the elements I love - sci fi, mystery, romance, and hey, hunky bods to whet the appetite -

Mmm - would love to have that suitcase full of blades

And nice, soft, curvy bods as well. *yummy*

One of the very few shows I watch on television (aside from one or two of the 6.5 billion episodes of Law & Order my SO records on a daily basis) - though I have to admit that I likely wouldn't watch it without Tivo.

What I like most about the show is they're not over-glitzing the characters - much of what has occured in regard to interpersonal relations I can see as a reality... it's more gritty and grimy than one would expect and I really appreciate that.

As to what's going on - I have some ideas, but don't really worry about it too much; I am curious, but remember it's the journey that makes the destination worthwhile. I have a feeling it will be drug out a little bit longer before they "reveal" some of the deeper secrets about the island - they want you to be wholly invested in the characters first, so that whatever happens matters to you... that's another point of the show I like - they're not restricted to only a handful of people, but rather have chosen a broad group to centralize the plot around.

but why did they leave that one lady by herself? I know, she's nuts...but still, it bothers me that they left her alone. And yeah the folks are nice looking on the show but come on...the girls aren't going to have perfect hair and makeup. That part always annoys me on shows like this. I mean, where do they plug in their flat irons and blow dryers rofl...I know I know it's petty, but it irks me.....
Jon knows all the names of the characters...I look at him and ask, "which one is that"?

rofl...
sorry to hear that Kissy Face
but isn't that why they call it "roughing it" ??? some girls ...if a guy takes a woman camping he should expect her hair to be back in a scrunchie and no makeup.

used to go camping every weekend....and still managed to keep my hair and makeup intact...you would to, if you bathed in a springfed creek that never got over 32 degrees....the cold never wore off, had to do something...teehee

Anyway, I love the show, and yes, I am invested in the characters...and as for the knife guy...yes, thought they were going to turn the tables on him and make him evil...but, in fact, not as of yet...he seems to be connected somehow...more then the rest...and last night, don't you know, I fell asleep....poop!  But there are people here at work invested in it as well, so they'll keep me informed.

Yes, I agree, the island is hypnotic, and perhaps the bad stuff that happens, comes from the evil force of man?

As far as the French Lady...is she crazy, or simply acting that way...remember, she was in fact a renouned scientist at one time, wasn't she, and how bout the cable running into the ocean?  Is that man made or Alien made?  I don't think Alien's would use a cable, as they're much to far advanced, unless they're pulling the island around with it???? hehehehe

Love the show, and your comments...

oh I forgot, by the way, did anyone notice the comic book last night that the kid was reading?  The white bear in the comic book?  Puts a whole new meaning to each individule creating their own destiny? Doesn't it?

Then I fell asleep....

Yup, it was, but they showed it again last night...the kid was sitting there reading a comic book, and the father grabs it from his hands and demands he come with to find debris for making a boat/raft

TiVo is like the remote control. My parents watched television for decades without a remote and never missed it. But once you get one . . .

TiVo quite literally changes the way you watch television, freeing TV from its dependence on a calendar and clock. I haven't watched "live" TV in nearly a year. And every time my sisters asks me, "Did you see that commercial about ..." I just smile.

Ah, am just now watching that episode - am half way through - DVR , not TiVo - love it- life commercial free - hehe

Guess I am lost in the characters and story line that I don't notice the make-up - I'll just chalk it up to the mystery of the island

I too like how the characters are more realistic and their lives not candy coated.  And I find something to like about most of them, even when they're annoying.  The mystery really keeps me hooked - and I hope they drag it out for it is one of the few pleasures I find upon tv - save for star gate - but that's beginning to wan with the seasons -

Still want that suitcase of knives!  Mwahaha-

Susan

btw - am really a peacenik - just like shiny toys!

If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .
