I was almost stripped of a backstage pass at an "America" show simply for saying two words:

"Muskrat Love"

(I was informed by security, that not only will they never play it again, they didn't even want to hear the title.)

So this is an easy and fun topic--what songs just make you want to load the gun and waste the receiver when you heard them played (yet AGAIN). Doesn't have to be an old bubblegum tune either, any of today's monstrosities will do just as well.

"I Will Always Love You" which to my knowledge, was first brought out by Dolly Parton, but sung to death by Whitney Houston.

If I had my druthers, I would stick with Dolly's version...3-4 times a year.  Period.

A truly amazing thing happened while painting the kitchen today.  I was half listening to VH-1's list of worst Number 1 songs.  The Number 1 worst Number 1 song was....The Macarena.  I cackled long and hard.

A couple year's ago when the Barney song was polluting the airwaves at an alarming rate and when I could stand it no more, I made up my own lyrics....

I repulse you
you detest me
we're a dysfunctional family
with an alcoholic here
and a drug addict there
emotional problems everywhere

Perhaps I've missed my calling????

Friends in Low Places- Garth Brooks- I was a DJ, and we always did a country set, and if they didn't like country, you can go right ahead and guess what song always got busted out... it just makes me want to puke, and I even like Garth Brooks...

Girls just want to have fun *gag*

Adam's Song- Blink 182- Hey kids! Can we make suicide any mroe childish and plaintive?

I may add to this list.

No! Now the original was fun a few times (though I came to it late) - it did get old quickly... however - Marilyn Manson did a very good job remaking it... and if you have the opportunity to listen to it while watching the video in the extras on the "Not Another Teen Movie" soundtrack while watching the "Pretty-Ugly-Girl" turn into a smoking hot goth groupie... ahhh, more's the better.

I could do without Britney as well and Jessica. I could also do without Whitney Houston. Sorry there is just something about her and her music.

"I'm so Glad" Raph mentioned that one.

It's one I always forget -- until I hear it again. Add the "I'm so Glad it's over" lame ass joke somebody always make and it's enough to make anybody retch.

I'll be back with more...damn shame how many there is too.
