DONE THIS???

I once said I'd try anything twice.

I lied.

I've decided that I am boringly sane in comparison...

In another thread I argued humanity's potential to further evolve..scratch it..the regression continues.

Im pretty damned openminded, I did get the tongue done then 3 years later got rid of it (yes, i suppose i got irritated with it always rubbing against the roof of my mouth),
but eye piercing is a little tooooo out of my leaque..everytime i would get an itchy eyeball and go to rub it, i can imagine that metal thingy hurting! OUCH

thank God, my kids only dig tattoos
and yeah, no way could I do this, I freak out when anything gets too close to my eyes, never mind when something is actually IN my eye! I couldn't even pierce my tongue, after having been in the dental field...you see some gross stuff....

I decided not to go to the link after reading the comments here.
Body adornment/piercing has been around a long time. In some cultures it is considered not only beautiful, but a sign of sexual prowess, often attributed to the size of the ornament (LOL)

But the eye? Can't they SEE this is beyond the outer limits?

You know, I agree that it's actually pretty cool... as the news article says it's a little "more subtle" than body piercing.  Besides, they say health complications haven't been and aren't expected to be an issue...

I've been wondering why it bugs me so much too.

I love jewelry, and I have been known to actually superglue adornments onto my being, so naturally I asked myself, what's the big deal?

The only answer I could give myself was a stammering,

"b-but? it's the EYES"

shiver

It just makes me queasy. Besides, I just know I would rub that sucker directly into my cornea while I slept....

*wince*

I'd be willing to do this to my eye graphically, using my favorite imaging program, but in real life well, I think I agree, I'd rather be boring. LOL.

I think it's great... I just really don't like the colour or the shape of the one in the picture. Silver isn't really very noticeable anyway. I'd be going more for something like a black rose, or something like that...

Yeah, I think it's kind of cool too... don't think I could ever stand to get it (and I am NOT a wimp when it comes to piercing things) but it looks neat, and kudos to the people with the guts to do it.
