Okay, so this may sound like a silly question, but, as always, I'm looking for some general population opinions and thoughts.

So, I've currently been coding in C & WinAPI, and I'm thinking about writing my own text editor specifically for poetry writing.

My question to anyone who is reading this thread is this:

1.) What implementation would you like to see revolving around Poetry within a text editor?

2.) What type of functions do you desire when writing poetry?

3.) Anything even remotly related towards typing, please say

Thankyou

I type poetry up on the computer once in a great while...mostly like the old pen and paper better. But, when I do I change some stuff for my settings. I don't know much about computers, and I don't know anything about that typing program you mentioned. But, I know that I just use the word processing program on my computer. And then I just make sure that the first word in a sentence(or line) doesn't have to be capitalized. Otherwise it's a pain in the butt if I'm typing up a piece where the first word in the line doesn't have to be capitalized.

Not sure if this type of stuff is what you're looking for. Sorry if it's not!

The first step to recovery is to admit your addiction. So, here it is:

I, Amanda Barmash, am addicted to Ben Harper.

I live on my computer, or in my computer, or with my computer…well, anyway:
How about this:
Spell Checker
Thesaurus
Font Control  (independently size, type and color, any and all letters, words, sentences, paragraphs).
Graphics
Editor  (changes on the fly).
Preview Pane
Line and Character Counter (on input).
Sample types of Poetry (click to see in a user sizable preview pane)
Save As (option for writer to “save as” to local machine as DOC, PDF, etc…).

I like the ideas, and they are much appreciated while I'm working on this (not too difficult but hard to find certain functions, ie Tab control for independent dialogs on parent window).

Two questions:
1.) What part of graphics would you like to see?

2.) Do you know of a library that controls PDF development?
