Okay I could be punchie as I have a bout of insomnia I am fighting tonight, but I had time on my hands and got a thought that made me go - hmmmmm? I read in a comment Janet Marie left that she was left-handed and I knew she was a Gemini, as am I. Seeing that I too am left-handed and also a Gemini, I wondered how many others there are here that fall into this category? Gee, if this insomina keeps up I can dream out lots of useless information I am thinking.

My grandpa was also a Gemini-lefty...actually both my gramps were lefties...one was an Aquarian

My two closest friends in HS were lefty-gems
and 2 of my bosses at jobs were also...
Several of my customers in landscaping and catering were too...I meet them all the time.... the bank teller the other day was one....
There may have been lots more lefties who were converted as I was told that in the 40's and 50's it was a common practice in preschool and kindergarten that teachers would try and teach left handed kids to switch...some schools even sent the lefties to a class to convert them...it was believed that it was easier for all to be right handed...and that lefties were slower academically, artistically and at sports and playing instruments.... When my teacher tried to switch me...my grandmother threw a fit...my left handed grandpa painted, drew,
was a clock maker and played the violin and guitar and she wanted me to be a lefty like him...
I didnt get his talents for the arts and music..but I could knock a baseball out of its skin in HS ... I was always first pick in gym LOL

Hey you! They tried to convert me too! My Grandfather (who is the subject of many a poem but not on this site) actually tied my hand behind my back, hit it with a stick, and I can't mention the other things he did to try to "convert" me. Thankfully I took after my Mother and Grandmother and before I knew what "pffffffttttt" meant or was, I said it in my head to him and all the teachers and "leftied on". I have to sit on the end of the table too, LOL, can't stand it anywhere else, and let's talk about fridge doors, doorknobs in general, walking, driving, oh....don't get me started. However, I golf both right and left handed, and can pat my head and stomach at the same time with both hands. Guess this only says one thing right? I have too much time on my hands.

Both my parents are left handed...my dad Gemini, my mom Libra. All of their 5 children are right handed...not a Gemini among us....go figure.

Hey, I can pat my head and rub my tummy at the same time...with both hands...I just tried it. LOL I didn't know if I still could or not.

I'm a right handed gemini but I put all my make up on left handed (except for the mascara on my right eye)and I brush my teeth left handed, and a few other things I can't mention heh.

I am a left handed gemini and spend a lot of time in an insomniatic fugue. Maybe it's just the twins warring with each other when I want to sleep.

Gee, I never thought about the twins influence on sleeplessness. I am a Gemini as well, right-hand dominant, and very much an insomniac. Good to know there are others out there.
