Hi...welcome to the family. Like all families we have our weird ones...but don't worry, they don't bite...very hard.

Really though - just read and have a great time!!! You've found a home here.

Anything you should know?  Hmmmm...well, sure.  We have a few guidelines that make for easy reading, nothing to strict, and we don't make you take a test, but knowing them up front it sure helpful...

secondly, we have lots of rooms here, and lots of room IN each room.  If you get stuck anywhere, we have a number of friendly Deputy Moderators and Senior Moderators who are just a click away.

Oh yes, make sure you bring your funnybone.  Sometimes in certain parts of our home we get to being witty and charming and what not, and have a wonderful time.

Above all if you have any questions, just ask!

Hi CherryFalls

I'm Ethel(garysgirl), and I'm glad to meet you. I hope you have a good time here. This is really a fun place.  I've only been at Passions in Poetry for a few months, but I'm loving it here.

The Open Forum is where you go to read poetry and reply to the poets about their poems. You also can post poetry there. (I don't know your age or your likes and dislikes, but, like Paul said, the "Main Forums" is where you go to read and post poetry.... like Teen Poetry, Spiritual Journeys, Dark Poetry, and my favorite Open Forum)

Now, I didn't know what this PIP Lounge was until about a week ago. Everybody welcomed me here and I come back here a lot, now.

Anyway, I hope you will feel right at home here. I'll talk to you later...

~Ethel~

Welcome to our little niche on the web. This is a place that your fingers may leave (sometimes for months on end) and when you finally find your way back...it's almost as if you never left.
It's truly an amazing place. Welcome!
My one tiny piece of advice? Extend the hand of friendship to others and it will surely be extended right back to you. Don't be shy!

Hello there Cherryfalls...Your doing good if you already found this place.  I have  been here a couple of weeks,  and I still get major lost if I wander off the beaten path. In other words don't ask me any questions because I probably won't know the answer.I would try to find out for you though because it would probably benefit me as well.

Nice haveing you here!!!

Hi there, my name is Sharon and I guess I have been in this "family" over a year or so.  Here you will find the nicest group of people to share time with, that are supportive.  This is a no nonsense site for those who love poetry, and the guidlines, and seeing that they are kept, is what makes this place so special.  BUT...the one thing we have no other poetry site on the internet has is, "heart" and that comes from the owner, our own Wizard, as we endearingly call him, Ron Carnall, who pays for(out of his own pocket), and maintains this site so that we can all become friends.  Welcome aboard CherryFalls!

One more thing.  You won't see the quick view bar until you get ready to reply or put up a new topic.

I wonder how the people are getting pictures on here that are not from the quick view though.  You can't just copy and paste them here can ya?  hmmmmmm  maybe I should practice     Nope that wasn't it.

(laughing) Salty... you Texan you... if you want to add images you have to have them hosted on another server and use HTML to link the image to the post.. there are directions in here someplace for doing it i believe.... as for the graphics...hey... other than a couple of smilie faces I can use... ;>  i have never even looked into how to add the others to a post... call me lazy....

(side note to self... Salty is beginning to think you are a pain...keep up the good work.)

did it work? Well now, that depends on what you were trying to do... if you were trying to make that silly smilie turn in circles then yesit worked..if you were trying to make up for asking such hard questions....

well... ok that worked too..

And what do you mean we make you laugh...can't you tell I'm being serious? Geez.... now I have to go back to assertiveness training to learn to not be such a shrinking violet... or was that obedience schoold to learn to follow directions..... there you go...confused me again you did... must be magic..

I have a question ALmighty computer guru Cpat....why do the little envelope thingies open and close ...sometimes?  And why are they different colors.....and why are they here...and why can't I open them...and .. why can't I see inside them??????

well, good questions that others here can honestly answer in more depth than I can. The one that are opening and closing are first time posts... if they turn white it means the last reply was by the originator of the post... the other colors and stuff..I really don't know. There is a place in the tech forum to ask questions like that and I KNOW you'll get a full and complete explanation. I'm not going to pull your leg and make stuff up...but it was tempting...the pulling your leg part.. ( chuckling)

Oh such a simple little thing.  WEll if you only knew how many times I have clicked on them....You would understand me questioning it.  I was beginning to think I was the only one that couldn't open them. I suppose it wouldn't hurt me to go read more huh?

Don't EVEN answer that.
