Working in a law firm, sometimes the word "lawsuit" becomes, ah, something else entirely....

When I'm really angry at someone I have a bad habit of saying "screw me" instead of "screw it"
Then there's the other one that I'm not allowed to mention

I am a Knight who says Ni!

Sometimes I'll go outside and pieces of Freud's writings are all over the ground. I invariably fall on my face when I step on one.

freudian slips?
I don't believe in them, then again i find some of Freud's theories strange to say the least. IF i have sexual references or undertones in my poetry (which is most of my poetry)it is because I wanted such references to be in my poetry, it is in no way a Freudian slip, sure I might use metaphor but only if I feel that the image is too graphic in its orginal conetext or meaning. You'll get no Freudian slips from me

i think you may have misconstrued a freudian slip brian.

it is when one inadvertently makes a mistake.  whether it be replacing a letter while typing, saying the wrong word while speaking and so forth.

freud believed that these little 'slips' were not accidental, and were a way of the subconscious communicating it's desires.

classic example:

while chatting on msn a while back, i was discussing the problems i was having with a close friend.  while typing the word friendship, i accidentally typed the last letter as t, as opposed to p.

freud would have believed that to be my subconscious expressing my frustrations towards all of the hostility in my relationships at the time.  as well as my lack of desire and my negative feelings in general towards any of my friends.

and so on.

Jen,
Laughing about the MSN story.

As for my response it was meant as tongue in cheek, though I guess I should stop typing responses to threads at 2 am in the morning.
