So? I set up a picnic inside...complete with candles encircling, blanket, music, wine, and strawberries
Our picnic was similar, though sans the candles for what will be obvious reasons. It was in the back of a limo, wending California's 101 from my home in Laguna Hills to Century City. We were headed to the theatre (Beauty and the Beast) and wouldn't eat dinner until afterwards, a bit later than ten, so a picnic to tide us over made sense. It was relaxing, even romantic, and set a nice tone for the rest of the evening. But it was also too prim for my tastes, maybe because it was our first real date. The fun started later, after the show, after the dinner, when we crawled back into the limo for the return trip to Orange County and realized most of the picnic was still waiting for us.
We had a food fight.
