As you all know, Passions in Poetry forum is more like a community than any other poetry forum on the Internet. So letís pretend for a moment that we ARE a cityÖ.

What would be your job in this community? Chief of Police? Garbage collector? Day care worker?

What about the other members? Do you see someone as the owner of a coffeeshop? A Flower Shop (I know! LOL)

How about Balladeer AND Toerag running the "Magic and Gag" shop.

Martie of course would be the resident florist.

JM for the "HALLMARK" shop.

As for me.......I'll do the coffee shop thing as TASTE TESTER.  24 hour shifts of course.

LR, I see you as the guy who runs the Harley store...you ride 'em and sell 'em. The bad boy that all the proper ladies secretly swoon over.

No offense to Ron, but I see him more as the head of the Power Plant..he keeps everything running. (I do appreciate the thought that I could EVER be his right hand man - though I could make his life easier - and more enjoyable as his right hand - I am not into 'power' - I prefer to be in the background)

Thanks JM for taking me out of the flower shop and into my heart place of writing...and you may have the butterfly house, but it is also in a garden of your own design..and you don't have to do the taxes.

I'd run the local freak store.

Seriously, every city has a place that sells a lot of black clothing and rock band merchandise. And a place that sells lotsa candles and cool jewelry and incense. And a place that sells vinyls and other such cool things. And a place that sells figurines and comics!

Well, smush that all into one, and that'd be my store. Come to me for all your freaky needs.

Heh heh.

I've been known to turn people over to the dark side.

hey the peeps that wear the black clothing aren't freaks.

I'll be the tattooist. Every city needs someone that can tattoo "I love rock 'n' roll" on their skull.

Freak is just my own affectionate term. In this, I am calling myself and all my friends freaks. It's just because I've found you can't shove people under goth or punk or metalhead properly, since no one's really purely any of those. Everyone I know takes freak as a compliment.

okay....let's see....I left alot of people out so here we go again.

Ron- Head of the town's museum.  Seems to me that someone needs to be in charge that pays attention to detail when it comes to priceless art and heritage pieces.

Nan- MMMMMMM...how about the local travel agent.  I think she could be trusted to find those special getaways that fit each of our needs.

PDV- I think you should be on the city council to keep things rolling when the rest of the town gets sidetracked.

Kit- mmmmmm ... owner of the local petshop who paints as a side job.

Sunshine- Sort of the Angela Landsbury of the town.

Martie-Okay....you can come out of the flower shop, but you got to promise to hire someone real good to take your place.  The cowboy always needs flowers ya know.

Sy-yeah........I think JM placed him perfectly.

KA- How about she runs the local BRIDAL SHOP!! ROFL  Sorry kiddo.....just teasin'.
You can be in charge of the local chapter of Green Peace and PETA both.

Marge can be the school teacher for the Grade School levels.  Someone has to start them out right.

Lighthouse Bob- Well the local minister of course.

Duncan- Mmmmmmmmm...Keeper of the clock tower.......only problem is......if it needs fixin' in the morning......IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!  LOL

And since it seems that so many people want to run the coffee shop.....I guess I will have to give the Riding Club thing a go.......Ladies only of course AND "I" fit the boots on them   but I still get all the free coffee I can drink or I won't clean the stables when the wind is blowing towards downtown.

and JM if you want the butterfly house then you are gonna have to dim the flame abit before you walk in there.

Still can't decide how my presence at PiP would translate to a position in "normal" society, but Kamla should be making Milos for everyone. Trust me on this.

Of course, if that's not a viable position, she can be the resident Coat-Sniffer (Human version of a drug dog.)

Clock keeper, huh?  Ok, sounds like a cool job.  But I want a tower to sit in and can I have some of those big gonging bells so that when I get bored in the middle of the night and all you townsfolk have gone to sleep...I can ring 'em till ya wake up and play with me??

Geez...that's no fun!!!  Fine, then I resign as clock guy.
I now want to be the dangerously handsome, mysterious, very wealthy, eccentric who lives in the Victorian mansion that overlooks Pipsville.  I will throw parties that last for days at a time and everyone will be invited.  Well, except for the mean people...lol.
And I'll build my own bell tower so you'll all know when it's time to come over!!!
HA!!!!  Put foam rubber on my bells, will ya?

I said handsome, not ridiculous.  And I prefer to call it a smoking jacket...lol.
Ok, PdV...since you're raining on all my parades tonight, what would you like me to be?
