Ok..I admit that sometimes I get so focused on something that I fail to see the little things around me..like today. I walked into the kitchen reading an article in a magazine. Like a robot, I opened the fridge, got out a pear, ran it under the faucet to clean it. Then walked back to the living room as I took a bite. After about 3 bites, I realized I hadn't removed that little sticky sticker thing. But guess what?! It was gone!!!

Oh my! I ate that little sticker!! (Will my body reject it in 'sticker shock'?) Sigh...paying attention is hard sometimes.

Could'a been worse, Sharon.

It might have been a banana that you forgot you hadn't peeled yet.

I said I was focused....I think I would have noticed an unpeeled banana....I think. Yeah...pretty sure I would.

True story.

About fifteen years ago, I had a condo in Laguna Hills and was working at home on a "rush" programming project. Very intense. Very focused. At the end of three days, while I was making a tape to hand deliver to the client, I walked out to my patio - only to discover everything covered in three inches of dark soot. It seems like one of those nasty brush fires, of which California is so famous, had gotten a little close. Turns out the whole area was evacuated. Except for me.

Focused? Please don't ever hand me an unpeeled banana when I'm working, okay?

He he recognize that very well.
When the kids were little, I made them sandwiches with peanutbutteryelly while I was talking to my hubby and I used to hand them over to him. And he doesn't even like peanutbutteryelly!!

And my hubby picked up the phone once when it was ringing, just to discover he couldn't hear anything because he had picked up the remote controll of the tv LOL
