I get a LOT of email every day. This one came in yesterday, and I have to admit that in the past 24 hours I've read it several times. I'm still unsure what to make of it.

At least a third of what I get every day is pure spam, advertisements I don't want and never read, and I came very close to deleting this email without even reading it. Is it a clever advertiser, just waiting for me to respond? Or something more? I've removed the email address (and any temptation you might have to find out), but other than that, this is exactly what was sent to me and is copied here in its entirely. You be the judge.

(And note the date/time the email was "sent" to me … )

Subject: Time Travelers PLEASE HELP!!
   Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2002 01:58:22

If you are a time traveler or alien disguised as human and or have the technology to travel physically through time I need your help!

My life has been severely tampered with and cursed!! I have suffered tremendously and am now dying!

I need to be able to:

Travel back in time.

Rewind my life including my age back to 4.

Be able to remember what I know now so that I can prevent my life from being tampered with again after I go back. I am in very great danger and need this immediately!

I am aware that there are many types of time travel, and that humans do not do well through certain types.

I need as close to temporal reversion as possible, as safely as possible. To be able to rewind the hands of time in such a way that the universe of now will cease to exist. I know that there are some very powerful people out there with alien or government equipment capable of doing just that.

If you can help me I will pay for your teleport or trip down here, Along with hotel stay, food and all expenses. I will pay top dollar for the equipment. Proof must be provided.

Please be advised that any temporal device that you may employ must account for X, Y, and Z coordinates as well as the temporal location. I have a time machine now, but it has limited abilitys and is useless without a vortex. If you can provide information on how to create vortex generator or where I can get some of the blue glowing moon crystals this would also be helpful.

I am aware of two types of time travel one in physical form and the other in energy form where a snapshot of your brain is taken using either the dimensional warp or an electronic device and then sends your consciousness back through time to part with your younger self. Please explain how safe and what your method involves.

Also if you are one of the very, very, few beings with the ability to edit the universe PLEASE REPLY!!!

Only if you have this technology and can help me exactly as mentioned please send me a (SEPARATE) email to: ***@aol.com

Please do not reply if your an evil alien!

Thanks

First, cannot one manipulate the date on their own computer?

Second, there are few spelling errors which means the person is reasonably intelligent.

Third - If you WERE an evil alien, would you admit it? Wouldn't it be more evil to reply and say you are not?

Ron

How come I don't get interesting email like this?

Many things are possible, including time travel..but this person...and the "evil alien" last line, I don't think so.  He/she should be writing science fiction, or maybe he/she, is.

This is certainly foreign to our linear concept of reality.  I firmly believe that 'ours' doesn't necessarily have to be the 'only' reality.  There's far too much real and documented evidence that there are, indeed, dimensions beyond our common conceptions.... Just because we can't explain it scientifically, doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

Interestingly, I've been doing some reading on what we'd call 'paranormal'... How can we assume this isn't real?  If we could actually go back even a hundred years (a mere blink in the spectral vision of time) and tell people of the technology that would develop over the next century, they'd think we were mad...

Unfortunately, unless you have the ability to fulfill the requests in this email, the point is moot... It surely would be interesting to know, wouldn't it??...

I've never met an alien before (or it should be me, looking in the mirror when I get out of bed).
Ha Ron, you've been contacted by the OUT OF SPACE??? He's a few days ahead of us as I see on the date.

Don't know, must be someone with great fantasy, can't help you here, but weird it is.

Well Ron, can you answer the challenge?

If this is all the world has to offer, I want a refund on my life.

Ooga Booga!  I am inclined to believe this was somehow sent to you in error and is a part of someone's science fiction writing.  "Blue Moon crystals"?  Wonder if they sing.  Now I do happen to believe there are life forces we do not know enough about, but from the contents of this email, I would think this is not one of the things that are unexplainable, but if a there is such a thing, I want one.  I am aging far to fast for my liking, perhaps they come in slow speed?

Sharon, yes, the date/time stamp is easily manipulated. I get several email every day where the person has the wrong stamp on their computer, so it's not big deal. The only thing that made this one unusual was the context.

Martie, I'd definitely say he's been reading science fiction. A lot of the things mentioned in the letter, like the XYZ coordinates are standard SF fare. If you went back in time six months without those, you would be here - but the Earth would be on the other side of the sun.

Titia, are SURE you've never met an alien before? How would you really know?

Nan, I've never written a story I didn't think was at least possible. Aliens, I'll buy into (evil or otherwise). Time travel, both physically and through projection of the conscious, is totally cool. I'll even accept "temporal reversion" and the Universe of now ceasing to exist.

But when he started talking about finding someone with the ability to edit the Universe, I pretty much lost it.

The 'edit the universe' part struck me, also.  If nothing else it's a great line.  This guy should be writing poetry...in whatever dimension.  Maybe he/she will be our 1,000,000 post.  Stranger things have happened.

Oh this is most amuzing, I don't think an alien would use a computer, I also get some very weird emails but this is by far the weirdest. Aol has a "details" under the senders email address so it could be traced. I have been able to trace some emails back. Good luck Ron, I am sure you will keep us informed. LOL floria

Wondering if someone or something could change time back for this person, or whatever, would that mean time will change for all on earth? Ron you are a remarkable man, but I've never considered you an alien. I will have to rethink my thoughts about you now.
