Hello everyone  I just became a member of your site and wanted to tell everyone hello and how impressed I am with everyone's work and everyone's posts so far. I'velurking around for a few days reading and reading, but due to the high emotional content of almost everything, it feels like the only right thing to do to let ya'll know I'm out here peeking in at your lives. So hello...and let me tell you a little about little ol me if that's okay. My name is Carrie, I live in Michigan, I'm 23 (oh shoot make that 24, its my birthday today!) I have a 6 month old daughter and I really like poetry, mostly because I've always been baffled at other peoples' abilities to express themselves so beautifully. Lately my life has been a little confused and difficult and I've started writing partly for sanity but mostly with the goal of one day producing something worthwhile. I could never write for school assignments, especially the poetry ones, so I am definately an amateur. I guess I came to this site looking for inspiration, direction, and maybe some compassion somewhere down the road...and seems to me I've found all of the above in the short time I've been here. I'm certain that you'll grow wonderfully here, at Passions in Poetry. I know that when I came here my ego was swollen from life in an isolated little city where I'm the only poet, therefore renowned among peers as the "best poet." What a wakeup call this website was.
