I wasn't sure where to put this question but, since it was Ali who brought to mind...I figured I'd put it in his backyard.

In response to a poem, Ali commented..."very Piscean". I thought, hmmmm....I wonder...so my question is this:

What is your sign and do you feel that it accurately describes who you are?

I am a Pisces. We are thought of as deep, emotion driven, passion-filled, artistic and creative people. (I'm not braggin' that's what they say...LOL) Honestly, I feel that it's pretty accurate. Though, I must admit...I have another side as well. It doesn't come through very often..but WOAH!

I am a fellow fish, Sally ...

As far as whether or not it describes me ... well, at times it does, but Pisces are also often described as "melancholy" which does not suit me at all ... my sorrows are usually fleeting; I believe life is much too short to mope about feeling sorry for oneself.

I am passionate, but only about certain things ... and I have been called creative, though I would describe it more like "stubbornly persistent"!

Maybe if we're lucky we can go round the entire zodiac on this one ... what do you think..?

Pisces here too!

I have read in a couple places that our sign has a creative side..kind of what we 'like' or 'want'. Although, also having a corresponding down to earth side..for what we think we 'should'. Oftimes, at war with each other. This is one aspect of my sign that very much applies to me. I have a very creative aspect to my personality that is constantly at war with an incredibly analytical aspect. Oh woe! LOL

I stand on the cusp of Gemini and Cancer. I think I'm pretty accurate in saying I have the duality of the twins but the moon child keeps me from being too "out there". Sometimes I feel really torn in two different directions and the Cancer part helps me make a decision based more on logic than emotion. I think I'm fairly practical and tend to hide my feelings except in my poetry. The twins do often interfere though and I want to run and skip and play. The crab keeps me in check so I don't go make an idiot of myself

I'm a Capricorn...triple Earth.
Sun: Capricorn
Birth: Capricorn
Ascendant: Taurus

Capricorn is part goat, part fish.

Fish love water, and I loves to get wet.
Goats are horny (two horns), and I'm always horny (one horn).

That about sums it up.

I am an Aquarius

Traditional Aquarian Traits
(copied from Yahoo as I don't keep up on this..if you can read through all this, you will know me as well as anyone can!)

Friendly and humanitarian
Honest and loyal
Original and inventive
Independent and intellectual

Aquarians basically possess strong and attractive personalities. They fall into two principle types: one shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; the other exuberant, lively and exhibitionist, sometimes hiding the considerable depths of their character under a cloak of frivolity. Both types are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken. They have a breadth of vision that brings diverse factors into a whole, and can see both sides of an argument without shilly-shallying as to which side to take. Consequently they are unprejudiced and tolerant of other points of view. This is because they can see the validity of the argument, even if they do not accept it themselves. They obey the Quaker exhortation to "Be open to truth, from whatever source it comes," and are prepared to learn from everyone.
Both types are humane, frank, serious minded, genial, refined, sometimes ethereal, and idealistic, though this last quality is tempered with a sensible practicality. They are quick, active and persevering without being self-assertive, and express themselves with reason, moderation and sometimes, a dry humor.
They are nearly always intelligent, concise, clear and logical. Many are strongly imaginative and psychically intuitive, so that the Age of Aquarius, which is about to begin, is much anticipated by psychic circles as an age in which mankind will experience a great spiritual awakening. The Aquarian philosophical and spiritual bent may be dangerous in that it can drive the subjects into an ivory-tower existence where they meditate on abstractions that bear little relevance to life. On the other hand it can help the many who have scientific leanings to combine these with the Aquarian yearning for the universal recognition of the brotherhood of man, and to embark on scientific research to fulfill their philanthropic ideals of benefiting mankind. When some cause or work of this nature inspires them, they are capable of such devotion to it that they may drive themselves to the point of exhaustion and even risk injuring their health.
Both types need to retire from the world at times and to become temporary loners. They appreciate opportunities for meditation or, if they are religious, of retreats. Even in company they are fiercely independent, refusing to follow the crowd. They dislike interference by others, however helpfully intended, and will accept it only on their own terms. Normally they have good taste in drama, music and art, and are also gifted in the arts, especially drama.
In spite of the often intensely magnetic, forthcoming and open personality of the more extrovert kind of Aquarian, and of their desire to help humanity, neither type makes friends easily. They sometimes appear to condescend to others and take too little trouble to cultivate the acquaintance of people who do not particularly appeal to them. They do not give themselves easily - perhaps their judgment of human nature is too good for that - and are sometimes accounted cold. But once they decide that someone is worthy of their friendship or love, they can exert an almost hypnotic and irresistible mental attraction on them and will themselves become tenacious friends or lovers, ready to sacrifice everything for their partners and be faithful to them for life. However, they are sometimes disappointed emotionally because their own high personal ideals cause them to demand more of others than is reasonable. And if they are deceived their anger is terrible. If disillusioned, they do not forgive.
Aquarians work best in group projects, provided that they are recognized as having a leading part in them. They have a feeling of unity with nature and a desire for knowledge and truth that makes them admirable scientists, especially astronomers and natural historians. They may excel in photography, radiography, electronics - anything connected with the electrical and radio industries - aviation and everything technical. On the arts and humanities side their progressive tendencies can be expressed in writing, especially poetry, and broadcasting, or as welfare workers and teachers. Some have gifts as entertainers and make good character actors (having an ability to mimic) and musicians. The more psychic among them possess healing gifts, especially in curing the mentally sick.

I am Saggitarius all the way...And I think it fits me pretty well, for the most part.

Adventure, travel, and a continual desire to expand horizons are marked
characteristics of Sagittarius. Planetary energy here is expressed freely and
unrestrained. At its best, Sagittarius is kind, generous, and projects its
energies as an educator. At its worst, this sign is often involved in more than it can handle and makes
promises it can't keep. Sagittarius is quite concerned with principals, moral standards, spiritualism, and
broadcasting opinions to the world at large.

Aquarius, and ms deVine... I HAVE to be the leader! Arrgghh, added to that, a Type "A" personality and what do you get?
A psychopathic organizer with dreams of world domination based on an oversized ego, mixed in with a caring heart that doesn't like to see people hurt, though they want everything their way even if it means other people won't like it, because that person knows what's best for everyone else, even if they can't figure their own lives out.

Are you scared now?

Cancer for me. Supposedly, Cancers are ruled by the moon (that explains my current mental condition), intuitive and artistic (to an extent), loving home and family life (although personally I prefer to be by myself), emotional and mercurial in emotions (that DEFINITELY describes me), can be hard to get along with (hits the nail on the head!), act shy to hide easily hurt feelings (yes), can be selfish (definitely so), and prefer to dwell on their own memories and dreams instead of facing reality (all the way!). Boy, this sign fits me to a T.

Just curious: does anybody here read about their sign and say,"That's nothing like me. My personality is very different from THAT!"

Just so everybody knows, I've been labeled just about everything under the sun. In Japanese, I've been called 'rikutsupoi' which means something like 'too rational'. I live with it.

I was born in the year of the Dragon - and you can read all about the dragon at this web page: http://cat.nyu.edu/liaos/noshock/zodiac/dragon.html

In western astrology I am Taurus

The arrogance of the Celestial Dragon combined with the earthy stubbornness of the Bull........ yeah, pretty much me.

I say analytical.

Don't be lonely Saxoness...I'm a Libra, too but just barely! I ride on the cusp between Libra and Scorpio. My mom always said I was a sweet Libra until someone p'd me off, and then look out 'cause the Sting of the Scorpion will take a swift and mighty toll. ~*LOL*~ hmmmm...just a little bit of a nasty temper here, heheheh. I guess overall I fit the Libra profile. I don't pay much attention to that stuff, though I do know some people who fit their profiles so well its scary.
I've only been accused of being stubborn about, ohhhh...a billion and twelve times. I was born in the year of the Ox.

Looks like I'm the only randy old goat.
In Chinese astrology, I fall under the Year of the Dog.

So...not only am I loyal, trustworthy, and the truest of true friends (Dog), I fit perfectly within the Capricorn scheme. I was born in the Sagittarian cusp, but have very few, if any, of that signs traits.

I have Mercury in conjuction with the Sun in Capricorn, 8th house; and Venus in conjuction with Mars in Scorpio, 6th house. All in all my natal chart could have been wonderful, were it not or Saturn, my ruling planet, sitting in conjuction with my Ascendent in Taurus, 12th house, in direct opposition with damn near everything else...guess you could call me a 'basket' case and be right. Everything seems to be collected within houses 5-8, with that prig Saturn squatting in 12. BAH!

Now, I've checked out what we have.....drum roll please

(in no particular order)
Taurus: 4
Capricorn: 1
Libra: 3
Pisces: 4
Virgo: 3
Scorpio: 1
Cancer: 2
Sagittarius: 2
Aquarius: 4
Leo: 3
Gemini: 1
Gemini/Cancer: 1
Gemini/Taurus: 1
Party Pooper: 1
No U-Turn: 1
Yield: 1

Suprised? I was...really. You see, I somehow thought there would be many more of those so called "artistic" signs. I'm happy to see that there truly is so much diversity here and how we all have this common bond.
Again, a big Thank you to all who participated.

well, I am a gemini, and am with PVD on this one, the description of my sign fits me perfectly:

You live in your head a great deal - reading, observing, thinking, spinning ideas around - and you need mental stimulation every bit as much as you need food and drink. In fact, if you had to choose between a good book or movie and a good lunch, you would very likely choose the former. You have a creative mind and often live by your wits.

You are also a very social creature, with a strong need to communicate and to interact with people. You enjoy using and playing with words and have a real flair for getting your ideas across in a clever, interesting, articulate manner. Writing or speaking are areas you have talent for.

You also have a rather light and mischievous sense of humor, and often do not take anything too seriously. Though you crave emotional involvement, it is hard for you to achieve it, for you are frequently unwilling to commit yourself to anything, to take responsibility, or to limit your personal freedom and mobility.

Your happiness lies in using your creativity and your language skills to communicate something meaningful, to teach, inspire, or bring people together. You have an unbiased mind and can usually offer a fresh, clear, uncluttered perspective. Your faults are your lack of constancy and persistence, and your tendency to overlook or ignore deep emotional issues and other people's feelings.

and to answer Brad, well, no I have never read a description of my sign that doesn't fit me fairly well, but have read descriptions of others, and can say without a doubt they aren't *me*

Writing.

I'm kind and generous only with those people I like. The rest I blow off. Not exactly educator material. I like learnin' more than teachin'.

At its worst, this sign is often involved in more than it can handle and makes promises it can't keep.

On occasion, when I try to take on a huge project (such as "I'm going to write a love poem every day for the rest of the year!")

quote:

Sagittarius is quite concerned with principals, moral standards,

Not as much as I used to be. It's sort of something that's just there -- not something I'm concerned over in any stretch.

I guess that's what poetry is.

(giggles) I am one intuitive, sexy Scorpio!

We Scorpios are one passionate sign (in all forms, LOL!) The phoenix is a bird that is most compatible with our sign, in that we may be emotionally vulnerable, but we are very resilient and we just rise from the ashes again when we fall. Often we go through trauma in early life, and if one would stop and listen to the life stories of a Scorpio, one would be inspired by our regenerative powers; the optimistic spirit within that helps us not only heal, but create.

(giggles) Often we are stereotyped as being sex-brained and little rascals (which is often true, LOL! ) but there's always more to a Scorpio like me that meets the eye, yay! (does happy dance)

Love,
Noah Eaton

I am a defective scorpio...

Those here will know why I call my self that...
Every thing I touch turns in to a joke and patheticness.

Like one time, I was in the hot tub and well I decided that was too awkward a story..........

I truly believe it is my parents that softened my heart and made me believe in myself!

I have nothing against the suburbs really, but it is more difficult to get around there than it is walking in the city. I was stuck at home a lot, shy from earlier trauma in my life, and often many who also have neglectful parents complete that apathetic triangle in many innocent lives.

But my parents have always loved me very much. It is a mix of their love, my ongoing imagination and free-spiritedness that has made me what I am now I believe!

You certainly are a wonderful Bleu Scorpio friend too, yay!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Gemini that's me!

The Myth:
Geminis are supposed to be talkative types; always on the phone and forever doing deals. They are, allegedly, good at trading and persuading. They like accumulating trivial information and ask endless questions all the time. It is also said that Geminis are "two people in one" full of contradictions and prone to sudden mood swings.

The Truth:
Geminis are definitely busy people. It's rare to find one sitting still and doing nothing. They have active inquiring minds and particularly enjoy conversations that involve an exchange of information. Not all Geminis though, are gregarious. Some are reflective and shy. Nor is every Gemini a natural salesperson. Some have no interest in commerce. All though, are a little competitive. They can rarely resist showing someone else how a job should be done or a problem should be solved. As for moodiness, well they can be full of sunshine one moment and fury the next but then who can't? All that's unusual is the speed at which they can change.

Being born under the sign of the twins, you shouldn't see yourself as a "split personality". You are simply someone who can see both sides to every coin. It's your ability to be flexible, to act on the spur of the moment and to ask the one obvious question that nobody else seems able to think of which makes you, such a powerful force in business... and such a helpful person to have as a friend.

Oh yeah - this is me for sure!  Unfortunately.

No offense, but I try to avoid Geminis.  Once had a friend (he's still alive) who's a Gemini.  Duality.  For him, it was duality of what's right and what's not.  For him, it was quite alright and proper to get pulled over in my car for speeding, and give my name as his own to the officer, my address, my phone number, and where I worked, then not tell me about it.  He even signed my name.  I had no clue until I got mail notification that warrants had been issued for failure to appear.  Then again, it was not alright for me to go and clear up the issue and give his name and licensing state...not to mention the state of his license, where he worked and where he lived, as well as a physical description to the officer to stopped my former friend.  Duality.  Gotta love it.

This from a Capricorn who sees Black, White and White What Got Grubby (Grey). *chuckle*

Well now Ali, I avoid Aries like the plague!  I am serious, as I have not had one good encounter with one in my life that I was aware of.  Stubborn, self-centered, hot tempered, and controlling and that doesn't work to well with a Gemini I guess.  I got so I would meet a man and the first thing I asked was their sign, and if it was Aries, I was so out of there.

Woo Hoo... yall gonna love me after this confession lol

I was born on June 21st which is the First Day of Summer

My mom charted my birth a few years ago, and it just so happens that I was born at the exact minute that Gemini passed into Cancer.

SO?

I am both m'friends.

Part Gemini Part Cancer

I am hard to love, and even harder to hate.

Hubby is Gemini and they say that two Twins should never be together, but so far, so good.

Every year on my birthday, I get so emotional/ill... guess that is because the two signs are colliding within me huh?

What is weird is that, my dad is a Cancer, and he and I have never seen eye to eye, and hubby is Gemini and he and I get along great.

Weird

Now I am gonna cry!!

Nobody likes me!!! (is that being self-centered?)

Mysteria-
Yes, that was exactly me when I was younger. I have, however, managed to settle down those things as I have aged...
In relationships, I have never been the controlling type.

The best sign that i have ever seen, other than the one that the leader of rats has posted, is a "No Walking" sign right by a cross walk in Detroit outside of Comerica park. How exactly should one go about crossing the street when one cannot walk in that particualr area. I took it upon myself to capture myself on video rolling under the sign and across the street to show the sign's ridiculousness.

Oh, by the way, I am a Gemini.
