I've sat here debating for about ten minutes whether or not I should say this. I hit a mood about a minute ago, so I'll post it while I'm still in my immature mode.

Sven, who's the coward now?

Ok, I'll be mature again now.

I think it is cool to
see how different ego's
are effected by a joke.

I have learned learned
that most of us here
love to tease and have
fun.

I miss my siblings...we
used to do stuff like this
all the time...
So I want to say thank you
one and all as I have had
a great time ROTFLMAO!

Oh, and one more thing Sven.

I've found, at least personally, that usually the conclusions we come to about things that are "obvious," are dead wrong. Look beneath the surface, because as with a person, the truth often lies beneath the skin.

Well Well! Chris, you've gone and started trouble again!
Now I will admit that I thought most of it was funny! And Hey, Chris, you're right hun, we are only good for two things.
Almost everything
Almost anything
There are some things I JUST won't do! LOL

Oh, and Criag, I'm NOT yelling! OK?! Just EMPHASIZING!
If I were yelling, believe me, you'd know it!

Can't we all just get along?

If I wanted to argue, I could've stayed home.
Oh.  I am home.  Nevermind.

Oh my.  Now I know why Ceres went berserk, and here Christopher left Ron to clean up the mess and make the world right again.

Chris, one word.  No, one thought.

I'll live longer and enjoy life more.

Now, go figure out a new mess to muddle poor Ceres...and if she indeed breaks down again, we'll all be coming for you...

Hugs,

CLAP!!   CLAP!!!!

Well congratulations Chris. . . somehow you managed to reach up where that switch is located and go into a mode that's more you. . . (although I thought that's the mode that you were in when you started this whole thing. . .)

For the record, I took this post seriously, and for that, I am being made to look like someone that just "can't take a joke". . . now, I don't know Chris, and therefore I have no idea of his wonderfully "humorous" nature. . . but perhaps he should have "thought" about this before he posted it. . .

But I would think that he was successful in his quest. . . he stirred and I came up. . .right into his trap. . . silly, emotional me. . . taking things too seriously and making this "experiment in humor" something more than it was. . .and for that, I am sorry that I ruined the fun. . .

But that should have been the end of it. . .but was it?  NO. . .I am then called a "coward" (but I called a "coward" also. . . so, touche. . . )and I am told to look "beneath the surface. . . " and that "the truth often lies beneath the skin. . . "

Well, I've been looking beneath the skin of lots of people for many years. . . and quite frankly, I don't know if there's anything under your skin sir. . .and if that's the truth. . .then I don't want to know it. . .

I refuse to be attacked and made fun of for what I believe. . . not by anyone. . . and I realize that some of you may think that I'm overreacting. . . but if this is fun. . . then I want no part of it. . .

So, BRAVO Chris, you got what you wanted, someone fell into your trap and you got them all stirred up about something that you knew was a "joke". . .and you let them dig themselves into that hole. . . that's what this was all about right??

Looks like we're in the same boat!
So, neither of us are good /at anything. who's paddling the boat? Hmmm?

Whew!  Some folks sure do get offended easily don't they? Guess I'll just slink back under my rock and avoid saying something that might offend someone else... NOT!

Get real folks, how many active members are on this site?  1100+?  If you are going to take to heart everything everyone says around here, and view it as a personal attack your life is bound to be pretty miserable.

One other thing, since I am bound to say something that is going to tick someone else off, eventually.  I will tell everyone now - I do not sit here and considereach individual at Passions and their own unique way of seeing the world, when I write something, and I don't believe most of you sit at your computer with a list ("hmmmm.... how will Lovebug feel about this? Nan? Severn? 7? etc. etc. etc. ) I think it pretty darn ridiculous for someone to expect us to. As with most people, I consider the general population here and try not to intentionally  hurt anyone, but ineveitably someone will get bothered - but honestly, that is thier responsibility...

Uh oh... now I'm ranting, soon I'll be raving...

Please feel free to send all comments to my email address each time I offend you...

What are we good for?  How long you got Chris??
Well we can find things when men with their limited field vision cannot, clothes, medicine, stuff in the fridge - it is always right there yet men cannot see!!
We bear the children as said earlier if up to you guys the human race would die out, men have less pain tolerance than women it's been proven!!
We look after things and bring order to all, home, office etc.  Most men aren't too organised..
We bring the feminine touch to home, office, your lives, softening the edges of your world.
Etc Etc.
Without women let's face it, you guys wouldn't get too far!! LOL

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

JP - I'll give you one important tip - If you're paddling through life - You're gonna need an oarswoman.. You take a paddle and she takes one - It's that simple - Without her, you paddle in circles - The question is - Who takes the bow and who takes the stern??? ..... Oh - and leave the rock behind - It might sink the boat...

CLAP!!   CLAP!!!!

Thank you, thank you. ***bowing***

Well congratulations Chris. . . somehow you managed to reach up where that switch is located and go into a mode that's more you. . . (although I thought that's the mode that you were in when you started this whole thing. . .)

Sigh Sven… You know this statement seems especially juvenile. I tried to be nice. I explained where I was coming from and in a polite and respectful manner. Then this! (LOL) This reminds me of a taunt one would hear in grade school. Petty, man, real petty.

For the record, I took this post seriously, and for that, I am being made to look like someone that just "can't take a joke". . . now, I don't know Chris, and therefore I have no idea of his wonderfully "humorous" nature. . . but perhaps he should have "thought" about this before he posted it. . .

Sven, look at the numbers man. Every person who posted before you was taking it as a joke. Did you not notice this? Did you not read the responses before you so excitedly jumped on your own wagon, looking for a cause to champion? Odds are Sven, if everyone’s laughing… it’s a joke? As to “he should have thought about this before he posted it…” I did Sven, I did. As a matter of fact, you’ve discovered my whole plot against you. No, you’re not really paranoid, I am out to get you… a guy I’ve never spoken with, never dealt with, don’t know. But somehow I chose you to bear the brunt of my assault. (For obviously, since you took it seriously, it must be serious. 60 some odd other people must have been wrong taking it as a joke. Man you’re so smart!!!)

But I would think that he was successful in his quest. . . he stirred and I came up. . .right into his trap. . . silly, emotional me. . . taking things too seriously and making this "experiment in humor" something more than it was. . .and for that, I am sorry that I ruined the fun. . .

See, fell right into my plans you did! (insert maniacal laughter here) No man, don’t get all in a tizzy about it… As much as I hate to admit it, you’ve made it more fun. Granted, at the expense of some of your pride, but hey, it’s a small price for me to pay!

But that should have been the end of it. . .but was it?  NO. . .I am then called a "coward" (but I called a "coward" also. . . so, touche. . . )and I am told to look "beneath the surface. . . " and that "the truth often lies beneath the skin. . . "

Yeah, touché. FYI – I was teasing calling Jeffrey a coward, and bet you’re the only one who might have thought otherwise… oops. Well I’m sorry, I forgot to think of you again when I posted… have to fix that one of these days… hmmm

Well, I've been looking beneath the skin of lots of people for many years. . . and quite frankly, I don't know if there's anything under your skin sir. . .and if that's the truth. . .then I don't want to know it. . .

I can tell you were starting to get either agitated here, or just couldn’t come up with anything “brilliant.”   Whatcha been doin’? Cuttin’ em up??? Seriously though… do you really think it’s that easy to look underneath? Doubt it… Most people have to let you see, and quite frankly, you’re not going to get that chance!

I refuse to be attacked and made fun of for what I believe. . . not by anyone. . . and I realize that some of you may think that I'm overreacting. . . but if this is fun. . . then I want no part of it. . .

A: You never have the choice to be attacked or not. The attacker has that choice, not you. You have the choice of how you respond or don’t to the attack, but if you make yourself available (ie: posting opinions in the Alley on Passions) then people may attack you.

B: If it is truly no fun as you are claiming. And you truly want no part of it, then tell me: Why have you kept coming back? You claim it to be no fun, claim that you feel slighted at being the brunt of the joke, while at the same time you’re attempting to make me the brunt of your own deviant humor. This seems to me to be a bit contradictory… or is it that same old tale where it’s ok as long as you’re not the one being picked on? ‘Cause believe me Sven, I’ve been picked on my fair share (Sharon pulled a nasssssttty-mean joke on me a while back!) But that doesn’t mean that anyone hates or even dislikes me (though I’m quite sure there are some do!   Try taking it with a grain of salt… laughing at yourself can be fun too!

So, BRAVO Chris, you got what you wanted, someone fell into your trap and you got them all stirred up about something that you knew was a "joke". . .and you let them dig themselves into that hole. . . that's what this was all about right??

***bowing again***

‘Ceptin’ you got it a bit wrong… it wasn’t a “trap.”  Let me repeat for the hard of hearing…IT WAS A JOKE!!!

Peace out,

Christopher

Oh, and Nan… but I love rocking the boat! And you can’t leave me behind!!!

And as the crowd rises to it's feet, Christopher swirls the taste of yet another triumph around in his mouth. He bows humbly to the crowd, for after all, this was yet another simple battle. The outcome was predictable and his opponent played his part exactly as Christopher knew he would. With a slight smile and a wave of his hand, Christopher walks casually over the fallen body of the stunned man and fades behind the curtains.
