OK, I don't mind working for a living... but I think we should switch the weekend with the weekdays. Maybe a two-day work week???

I mind working for a living! I'd like to win a lottery, then travel around the country in a RV, meeting people, writing poetry about who I meet, the things I see! So if anyone out there wins, please share it with me! I'll dedicate all my poetry to you!

My computer does most my work
I used to sit around like a jerk
until I found this great web site
where now I post with all my might.

I quickly "Alt-Tab" should the boss come in
for playtime at work is a pink-slipped sin
but at least I sound busy as I play
tapping, tapping, tapping away!

Miss Sunshine, this is your wily Boss,
I've been watching you as you goof off.
I've read your poems, the good and bad,
And little Miss Sunshine, you've been had.

If you wish to keep the paychecks coming,
You'd better wear clothes a lot more stunning.
How about blouses cut way down to here,
With sexy bras that are naughtily sheer?

You're young and cute, with well-tanned legs,
Don't cover them up (and, please, do shave).
A drink after work would smooth your way.
You never know. I might not dock your pay.

(heh heh heh)

(perk) RV - all around the country? yanno, lil Lorelei and I make excellent travelling companions.

OMG - look what [who] I found lurking around the archives...

LJA, trust me, I didn't see this one!

LJA, you've had your way
and I still come here every day
It's been 'most a year since I've been had
didn't see it coming...so it wasn't too bad!

And I'm still 'round, alting and tabbing
while you're out jibber-jabbing
so in reply through Chris' post...
give it up, you wily old ghost!

Right now, I'm kind of in a stage where I love work I don't mind going to work every day, I suppose it is from being in a marriage where I was forbidden to work for almost 10 years. (that or I'm totally insane lol) but to me work means freedom, and I guess it helps that I have a job I love.

Hello ... my name is Kit, and I'm a recovering workaholic! LOL

Seriously! For the last 8 years, I was putting in 16 hour days, 7 days a week. I'd take home boxes of work on the weekends. It was worth it to get the company up and running smoothly, but it took a toll on me. About a year ago, I made a conscious effort to calm down. That's were Passions Forums came into "play". I wanted to start enjoying myself, and since poetry is my "passionate hobby" this was supposed to be my cure.

Now I can confidently say:

Hello ... I'm Kit ... I'm a poetaholic! LOL sigh ...

Where's that 12 step program for poetry addiction!

Well, it wouldn't make a difference to me, 'cause my work doesn't follow the traditional work week.
