Poet deVine prompted this memory...liking everyone, as she does, I thought I'd go one step further [I'm good at that...] 'cause if I had to start listing ALL the folks I like here, it would take on the tune of this old Hank Snow song, I've Been Everywhere...

So, have you been here?:

Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota
Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma
Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma

Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana
Monterey, Ferriday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa
Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa

Oh goodness.  Kari, you did a wonderful job here, what with all the rhyming placenames. Self, shoot, I can't even recall all the places I've been. Born in Virginia, was driven across to the Four Corners before settling in Texas. Romped around Texas. Drove to Oregon. Bused to Michigan. Train to Arizona. While in college back in Texas, went to Europe. Saw England, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia (then), Italy, Germany, Poland, Czechoslavakia (then). Been through nearly every state west of the Mississippi. But I'm having trouble, with this cluttered occluded mind, with recalling all the little towns and cities I've passed through in one form or another.

Excellent question, and again, wonderful verse.

My list seems pathetic next to both of yours!
I've been to Duluth, Grand Marais, the whole Lake Superior area, and spent some time in Ontario, Canada. I've been to Sleepy Eye in western MN and Red Wing down towards the south of MN. Seen the American and Canadian Falls, Niagara on the Lake, and spent two and a half weeks in the Buffalo area of New York.

I've been to the gates of hell (no, not Texas), the entrance to heaven, and the brink of oblivion...

Oh!  You mean here on earth! You should be a bit more specific

Too many places, yet not quite enough.  Still have Scotland, Australia, Greece and Italy on my list of places to go.

My parents loved to travel, so I did a good portion of it when I was younger. I've also had the opportunity since I've grown (notice I didn't say "up") to go here and there...

Modesto, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Monterey (CA), Los Angeles (which I still think is a different planet in and of itself), Mexico City, Tiajuana, Los Vegas, Reno, Albequerque, Dallas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Provo (weird, weird place...), Seattle, Salem, Portland, Stockton, Sacramento, Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Cripple Creek, Lake Tahoe, Forth Worth (freaks, all of em!), Chicago, Minneapolis, Great Lakes (actually, I think Illinois should be banned... it's bad for your health), Honolulu, Eva Beach, Guam, Canada (no "cities" that I recall off the top of my head)... That's just a few of the "notable" ones. I've been to every state this side of the Mississippi, and all save a few on the other. Been lucky, but I would still like to see a lot more... one complacent hick country in particular...

Oh I doubt I'd remember them all. When I was a kid, every summer we took along our pop up trailer and went on vacation. I've been to every state but Florida. I haven't visited Canada either.

I went once to California, San Diego.

I've lived in IL...Villa Park, Bolingbrook, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago, Elmhurst, DeKalb. (I think that's all of them)

Ark...Marmaduke, Glenwood, can't remember the other town.

Colorado, Greeley, been up to mountains, and to Denver. Other towns I just can't remember.

Georgia, Atlanta, Conyers, Covington.

I wouldn't even try to list where I've "been," so y'all will have to settle for just the places I've actually lived. In chronological order, no less.

Battle Creek, Monroe (LA), Austin, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Portage (one of several MI cities Nan left off her list, but where she ate a few meals), and Muskegon. San Diego, Camp Pendleton (rather forget that one), Camp LeJueune (another one to forget), Jacksonville (NC), and Fort Custer. Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale, then (of all places) Hardin, KY and Nashville TN. La Mesa and Tempe (AZ), though just briefly. Back to San Diego (the best city in the world), Poway, Escondido, Rancho Penesquitas, and El Cajone. Can I simply get away with "Orange County," or do I have to list Anaheim, Orange, El Toro, Santa Ana, Yorba Linda and Laguna Hills? Worked in downtown L.A., but refused to live there or anywhere too close.

Last stop: Colon. Except, it will NOT be the last stop.
