I'm confused, I must admit, the quandry is do I use Forums as a theraputic aid to my artistic vent... you know when the cup which is the heart is overflowing, do I let fly regardless or do I hold back until I believe I've got something to say.
Do we as artists regulate ourselves, or do we just create and publish, in the hope that we can be justified with at least some small acceptance.
Do we try and push the boundries foreward, not just our own but the boundries of our art, or is it just a mirror of life, a voyage of discovery from A to B, good or bad, we compose, write or paint whatever we choose because we are artists. You tell me??

Submit. From your responses you will see that what you do well is appreciated, and what could have been better will have little response.  Build off of that to learn where your strengths lie.

And we look forward to hearing the "click" of your mouse as it hits the submit button.

this is a great topic for the philosophy forum... you might go over there and take part in the thread entitled "a poet's job"... i think you'll enjoy that

and simply stated, my opinion would be write, express, submit, get what you have to say out there because it's important

Write what you want to write.

Period/fullstop.

If you try to start matching what others want/expect from you, then you're not really writing you! You're writing what you think they want... tch, tch, tch.

However: Remember that there's not always a venue for what you write... sometimes things will be left unread.

Thanks everyone for responding to my post.  It was very helpful to me to hear your views, sometimes playing devils advocate, is difficult but very rewarding.

Take care everyone and I will be acting on your advice
