Last night, I read a reply to one of my replies and this is what it said (btw - it wasn't at Passions I must thankfully say):

'I read your bio. Wow! Australia! How interesting!'

AUSTRALIA? Huh?

I checked my bio and it quite clearly says 'Location: Auckland, New Zealand'

~splutter~

New Zealand is not a state of Australia...I just have to assert this to anyone who cares.
I am terribly upset...my national pride is suffering...

My friends, I need emotional support!
I don't stem from any convict nation! (heh heh)

grumble, splutter...

no you see, you must have missed it, the big guys passed somethin or somethin and umm...New Zealand is part of Australia now. damn, have you been living in the dark ages?!?!?!   obviously this person knew of the change and YOU didn't!!   don't you just love ignorant, uninformed people?!?!

hehe I wouldn't worry about it. Obviously whoever was..*ahem*...smart enough to say something like that, was the person in the back of the room during geography sleeping, and we were the ones throwing skittles at them  ...damn I miss those good ole days!

LOL

I am going to KILL you, Maree..it should be easy to reach you, after all - we're just apart of the same nation...GRRRRRRRRRR
Poor little neglected Sth Pacific eh? You know Star...most people think we ARE in the dark ages...people think that SHEEP walk round the main streets of our cities...honestly...the misconceptions!!!

They not only walk - they DANCE...wish they could get it right!

'Once Were Warriors' - did you know there is a sequel Brad? It's called - 'What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted' - quite good...a tale of redemption of sorts...

worth a watch if you can find it...

It's sad but there aren't many people left with traditional Maori tattoos (Moko) anymore...they are mainly stencilled on for shows and the like!

Hey - you like rugby - ever seen the All Blacks doing the Haka? (The wardance) It's really cool!!! I can do one!! I can do one!!!

Well...
kind of

ok
not really at all lol

Well I know what you're going through! I am half Puerto Rican, and half French Canadian (Quebecois). Both have patriotic blood running through their veins!!!!
I have no American blood in me whatsoever, and due to my "perfect AMERICAN speaking accent", I am considered an American by the Americans regardless of WHO I really am!
At heart, I am a Puerto Rican due to me living here most of my life. Boricua hasta el fin!
So, just to let you know, you're not alone!

Need I remind you of my current events class where about 80% of the students thought Africa was a country?  I think we all need a course in geography...I, however, do know that Africa is a continent and that New Zeland isn't part of Australia....   Poor K...
