You guys make me late for work each morning, LOL!!!

I keep saying "just one more", "just one more" ... and I just can't get enough!

Sigh ... Sharon, where was that little town again?

You guys are all so wonderful, have a great day ... now I REALLY have to get to work, LOL!!!

Yesterday... my last day of school before the holiday...

I woke up to find that my alarm hadn't gone off because the electricity had gone off during the night... My clock said something like 2:30 a.m., when it was actually 6:10 a.m.... That was all right, because I usually get up at 6:00... My internal alarm knew it was time to begin my day...

I got up... got ready for work.. sat down at my computer to do my morning forum rounds... had some coffee... and thought I'd get to school a few minutes early, as I was giving the kids a test first thing, and I wanted to be ready...

I somehow got caught up in my posting and commenting... I can't figure out HOW that happened...

When it was time to leave (to arrive early) I grabbed my "stuff" and a cup of coffee and ran out the door... My car wouldn't start... It had been a cold night, and those "English" things don't like to drive in the cold... I've killed my relatively new battery once too often, it seems.... Lucky me! I'm prepared.... I not only have AAA, but I also have one of those super duper plug'em in and start'em up quickly and charge'em up thingies... I plugged myself right in, started it up, and drove off to school... Now I was right on time... darn... so much for the test... ... Of course, then here was a backhoe at the end of my street... I couldn't get out of the street until the workmen moved it... They did... I got out... Drove off to work... got there just as the busses were dropping the kids off... and gave them the test...

Now, this is all YOU GUYS' fault... If you didn't keep me so busy here, I would have gone out and tried to start my car earlier, because I KNEW it was likely to happen... It's ALL your fault...

I agree with Kit on this one...

I'm at work..it's a quiet day before Thanksgiving but my computer monitor faces out to the main 'drag' here..everyone coming into the department walks by my cubicle. So if I get fired for reading poetry today, it's all your fault!!

Kit that town is in California...sigh. I wish it could be...I'm playing power ball this week - 92 million..enough for a town wouldn't you say?

check the computer
see the host
of people who
write the most
pen a song
before it belongs
here in the pages
with legendary sages
check the computer
drink the dregs
coffee's cold
now go beg
for a day off
for a day long
for a morning
of poetic song
I can't complain
y'all are HERE
welcoming me
with Alley cheer....

It was 8.00am in my exam season a couple of weeks ago...(dramatic drums and whatnot)

Sitting in my home embedded in the 'heart of the last place of paradise on earth ' - HAHA ~snicker~ Nan...I had but 15 minutes on Passions...then down to the university library to diligently study with a friend. A loose arrangement to meet him at around 10am had been planned.

Well.

When, at 7pm, I turned up 9 hours late my friend had left an hour ago and gone home - though he had told me he was going to stay to 11pm (study season guys)...

yeah...just punishment?

LOLLOL

It's ALL your fault!

(In my own defence - I didn't spend the entire day on Passions - so there)

Kit, well I just developed an office that thinks like I do. Now I don't have to hide Passions because they know beauty will be on my desk. (Case of education love, all you have to do is..... ) Well I said since we have an art gallery in the hospital, we should encourage more art, and poetry is. Now if I could persuade them to have poetry readings I'd be really happy, but I can't have everything. Anyway I work such odd hours that I need something to help the day flow right?

Mind you there have been days that have totally vanished into Passions and I've no idea what I've done, but normally I'm fairly good. I sort of zoom in grab some beauty and then zoom out again. A sort of hit and run thing.
Take care

Kit:

Linda and I are moving to within a stone's throw of that little town (which was called Bear Valley Springs, btw).  Our neighborhood is called "Golden Hills" -- poetic, isn't it?

We're taking applications for neighbors; the population of our quaint little mountain village is about 500 or so ...

We'll be posting some digital photos from our back and front yards soon for PR purposes

Nan:

I liked your reply, lol, that thing with your car sounds a lot like Murphy's Law.  Say, we should make a new law.
