Ok, all you people who've made Resolutions out there. . . we're just about halfway through the first month of the year. . .

How are you doing???  Or have you slacked off and fallen back into the old patterns???  HUH???  Well come on. . . you can do it. . . you know that in the end, you'll be better for it!!!

BTW, I've made some myself, and find myself lapsing a little, thought it might help to start a little discussion on this, so perhaps we might try to encourage each other!!!!!

Well, I resolved not to work for minimum wage for a position where I have prior work experience, skills, and expertise, even for the customary 90-day probationary period. To pay a skilled worker subsistance wages, if even that, is criminal.

So to that end, I walked off the job Monday, didn't go in yesterday, and will formally quit today. Hastings Entertainment is actually a good place to work, but morale is always low when you have a skin-flint bean-counter as your store manager. Getting a raise from him is harder than getting water from a stone. When I go in to formalize all the paperwork, I will give him a dime....that's the standard raise.

Right on, Ali!  Just don't end up like me:  knowing you're worth nine bucks an hour but unwilling to take a new job that can only start you at seven. .  .Great resolution, though.  Good luck!

Hey Alicat. . . having worked in Retail myself, (I was even head of my Department!!) I know how tough and unsatisfying it can be. . . I'd say that you're doing the right thing. . . now then, go out and find something that you love!!!!!

Sunshine. . . writing dark was one of my resolutions!!!     But. . . hmmmmmmmmm. . . what do I want to resolve Sunshine to do this year????  hmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . I've got it!!!!!
*ahem Sunshine, I want you to publish your first book of poetry this year. . . and appear on Oprah. . . yes!!  I think that will be plenty. . .

K, get up off of your rear and get moving!!!!  Leave it to a slacker like you to try to find a loophole in this. . . sheesh!!!. . . LOL. . . this is only for people who are serious about holding to their resolutions!!!
*Sven just shakes his head in moderate disbelief and sighs deeply*

*sigh*. . . (LOL   )

I quit smoking for three days and started back up and quit again for a couple of days and just had another one...

I also resolved to start using more self-control...

Hmpff!  Gee thanks for reminding me that I have slacked off on my new year's resolution   LOL!  Well...although many people, friends and family, tell me that I look just fine, my resolution was to lose maybe 5, 10 pounds to get rid of my "Jennifer Lopez" butt.  But, maybe the fact that my one studly guy friend told me that he likes my bum and my hourglass shape, it stopped me from being disciplined. So maybe I should change my resolution.  ANY SUGGESTIONS?  Well at least I don't have to starve myself   Hello smokey red barbeque Doritos, sianora rice cakes~~yucky!  Nah, nah, nah, neener...neener...neener Ms. Lopez has herself some competition

Take care Sven!  Maybe my resolution should be...I should try to be more bad   Us Virgos are branded as prudish bores, well I'll show 'em    LOL!

slowly but surely Debbie. . . you'll get there. . . it's tough I know. . . had a friend that quit a long time ago. . . let me tell you, he was totally a pain the first month. . . but eventually, he mellowed out. . . and now, he's totally smoke-free. . . that was about 8 years ago. . .

Melissa, Jennifer Lopez???. . . um. . . ok. . . just so long as you promise to not wear that dress!!!

and, as far as your other resolution. . . *ahem*. . . I would suggest that you come over w/me to Adult and we'll discuss it further in there. . .    LOL  (perhaps we should start a support group for Virgos!!    )

SEA. . . people like you make me ill!!  LOL     Just kidding. . . glad to hear that you're on the ball!!!

raleigh. . . you're on. . . but, we'll need a Before pic or description to compare it too. . . ok??

I didn't make any resolutions. Thought I'd just make all kind of healthy changes and surprise everybody. Forgot to start the healthy changes, now I just feel bad that there will be no surprise.

Sven love, I resolved

1) To decide where I wanted to go in my life and get there

2) To be happy to stop thinking if I'd done this that or the other, and just accept that sometimes life is harder than others

3) To clear my life from all negative thoughts ideas.

4) To give as much love and friendship to those who I love, and tell them all often that they are so loved.

And that was all, I'm having trouble mainly with the clearing of negativity, and to stop blaming myself for things. But otherwise, they are still there and ongoing.

And Kari love, you know what I want for you to resolve, to keep flying high, to be as happy as you can be, and to just be you. And to never stop writing!!

Take care love
