HEH

Seriously guys - which sign possesses people who are touted as the most romantic, the most dreamy...the most creative - why yes - US:

THE PISCEANS...

ONLY one thing has essential Omega vitamins...FISH.

What meat is good for the heart? Yes - FISH.

I mean - put those things with claiming Liz Taylor as a fellow Piscean and really...

WE WIN THE COMPETITION HANDS DOWN...

ROFL ... I'm swimming to the rescue Kamla! Here ya go, and I couldn't be prouder than to swim in the same school with ya!

Pisces
February 19 - March 20

Pisces is the twelfth Sign of the Zodiac, and it is also the final Sign in the Zodiacal cycle. Hence, this Sign brings together many of the characteristics of the eleven Signs that have come before it. Pisceans, however, are happiest keeping many of these qualities under wraps.

These folks are selfless, spiritual and very focused on their inner journey. They also place great weight on what they are feeling. Yes, feelings define Pisceans, and it's not uncommon for them to feel their own burdens (and joys) as well as those of others.

The intuition of the Pisces-born is highly-evolved. Many people associate Pisceans with dreams and secrets, and it's a fair association, since those born under this Sign feel
comfortable in an illusory world.

It's a pair of Fish that represents Pisceans, a symbol which prompts others to suggest that these people 'go with the flow' and 'don't make waves.' Both of these labels are true, since Pisceans are fluid and easy-going, in keeping with the Mutable Quality assigned to this Sign. The fact that two fish (as opposed to one) represent the members of this Sign also speaks to the duality of Pisceans, their yin and yang sensibility. Pisceans alternate between reality and non-reality in keeping with their introspective natures; their voyage between consciousness and an unconscious dream state says much about their intuitive, almost psychic natures. For this reason, Pisceans can be hard to pin down, prompting some to call them the chameleons of the Zodiac.

The Fish are happy to be considered hazy, since there's a certain sense of safety in that self-proclaimed netherworld. That said, they won't stay away for long, since one of their primary goals is to help others. Pisceans are compassionate, charitable and will quickly put the needs of others ahead of their own. It's this kind of self-sacrifice which keeps these folks going. The flip side to their giving natures is that oft-timid Fish are likely to be taken advantage of by less well-meaning souls.

Those born under this Sign are spiritually oriented and charitable. They are compassionate, easily feeling another's pain. At times, however, Pisceans can have difficulty distinguishing fact from fantasy: they tend to get caught up in their dreams and views of how things should be. To say they wear rose-colored glasses isn't much of a stretch.. Many Pisceans also immerse themselves in the arts and other creative pursuits as a centering mechanism, and they are quite talented in these areas.

They revel in their compassionate and imaginative natures and love to cater to others. They can also be quite romantic, dreaming up delicious treats for their lover. Pisceans are generally gentle, easy-going folk, who are on the shy and reticent side. They are modest to the point of impracticality, often stepping up only to show their talents in painting or music. Easiest for the Fish (and still great fun) is living in their lush dream world.

And now, for the list of famous Pisces, LOL ... we've got Albert Einstein!!!

That's fame!

Us fishies are well rounded!  We're global!  We can't tell fact from fiction, or which direction we're swimming - but hey, it's all about diversity!  We see things from more than one perspective...yeah!  That's it!

And hey, we're lovable - who can beat that??

ROFL ... I got it fixed! Big Oops, and a big sorry ... I was so excited to find the "famous" link, I forgot I was in by month and not sign, LOL! (travelling in my own little world again there)

And it was no trouble Beth ... just a quick copy from the sites I linked at the bottom giving them credit for the information (copy and paste, lol)

Yay Pisces ... love this sign, and I love the company I'm keeping! I'm March 12th ...

What a great group of Pisces poets!

Oh, um. . . hi. . . after reading that list. . . I must have fallen asleep. . . LOL

Of course, if Temptress hadn't hit me with her fin I might have still fallen asleep!!

Ok. . . um. . . well, I was going to say something rather observant here. . . but, I'd rather get my bait ready!!  LOL

K, you know how I hate to disagree with you but my brother is Pisces and well he is an engineer. I am an Aries, I am the one who is artistic and poetic.
I was supposed to be born on the 17 of March, ironic considering my nationality.
I am so glad to be a fire sigh. WE RULE

Also to correct Kit's list Peter Fonda is not famous. He made Easy Rider in the 70's. One film Not very famous. Besides I don't need a list to back up the worth of fire signs. We have passion. What this site was built on.   So don't jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. Ok I admit I am bored and tired but I have to burst a few egos. Feel free to destroy mine but you will have to join the line.

As I was one of the lucky persons born on March 4th (with Vivaldi -- yay!), I feel compelled to ask you, Brian:

When was the last time you saw fire win over an equal quantity of water..?

Water is the great equalizer; fire is violent, short lived, and destructive.  How very human of you.

Ahem.

As Linda is also a Pisces I really don't need to say she is right as that should be obvious, but... to back her up on the water vs fire subject.. Water absorbs large quantities of heat as it changes phase from a liquid to a gas, in fact one gallon(3.8L) of (100*F / 38*C) water will absorb around 8,500 btu's of heat. In addition, during this evaporation water expands to 1700 times it's original volume, thus displacing an equal amount of heated air.....

K  Don't even play like you don't know who they were my dear...( I bet you hide and listen to Sgt Pepper all the time..lol)-- jest kiddin' ya hon

You all crack me up.  Yes, Pisces are known for the sweet and tender side, I believe. But then, so are cancers.
As a Leo, I know nothing about that stuff LOL

Thank you Jamie -- I never thought to mention the extremely high specific heat of water -- as a chemist, I should be ashamed of myself...

Fire signs ... *shakes head*  sheesh!

On the flip side, and in all fairness to persons unlucky enough to have been born under the lesser signs (read:all but Pisces), I'll reveal some of the burdens that Pisces have to bear:

Pisces are sensitive, yes -- but unfortunately, that does not always work to our advantage -- we are too quick to shoulder the burdens of others.

Pisces are renowned for being susceptible to sudden and inexplicable bouts of melancholy, during which time we normally social creatures withdraw from society (and often reality) altogether until the slump passes ...

Pisceans' dreamy quality often makes them more likely to experiment with mind-altering drugs *ducking the rotten tomatoes on this one LOL*

Pisceans often forego the expression of their own feelings in order to spare those of another ...

Pisceans are the consummate escapists and procrastinators ... and now I need to go, I'll finish this reply tomorrow.  Promise.

I did not write this.
Pisces Employee Profile
===================

The Pisces employee can be a loyal and hard-working, if
unconventional, worker. In the right position, they are able to
keep their daydreams in check and buckle down on the
detail work-giving their all to the boss and corporation whom
they feel are worthy of devotion.

On the flip side, there is no image of extreme misery like that
of an ill-placed Pisces worker. They will act as though their
cubicle were a prison cell as they daydream of their own
business or next vacation.

Unhappy Pisces workers usually won't stick around too long.
Often Pisceans will drift from one job to another looking for
that ideal environment to which they will be able to commit
and feel a sense of purpose. And if things are going in a bad
direction at the office, Pisces will be the first to sense it.
They'd rather pick up and leave then wait until the problem
reaches a head. Pisces are often misunderstood by their
co-workers.

Typically timid and introspective, they usually keep their true
nature hidden, for fear it wouldn't fit with the corporte culture.
What motivates a Pisces employee to not only stick around
but also excel? Try compliments. And show them how their
work impacts the entire organization.

They need to know that what they are doing is worth
something on a grander scale. Acceptance of their
unconventional organization and planning will be necessary.
Just because their sales report isn't in the typical format
doesn't mean it is any less effective. Keep their environment
bright and upbeat; and an after-work cocktail wouldn't hurt.

'Typically timid and introspective'

Oh yes - oh yes this is me.

SNICKER

Ok so I am introspective - but I'm rather loud about it in the process...

Thanks Bri - you've cheered me up so much about my working future and what I have to look forward to...

I snuck out of jail for a moment! AHHH!
I come back home today, though, but I couldn't stand another minute without coming here!

As for Pisces, I am proud to be a fishy! We are a unique bunch, aren't we? (march 1 here) And my Justin Jeffre is up there, too! WOOHOO!

Until I'm home for good,
