Hi I'm Sven. . .

*HI SVEN!!*

I've been a Virgo all of my life. . . born on August 26. . . just two days earlier, and I would have been something else. . .

But now, look at me. . . I'm self-critical, far too analytical. . . moody, easily given to depression. . . perfectionistic. . . *sigh*. . . and. . . and. . . oh there's just too much to talk about. . .

But, on the good side. . . I'm Romantic, Passionate, gentle, kind. . . I'll do anything for the people that I care about, I'm a rock of strength, a keeper of secrets. . . I'm the person that you call at 4AM when you don't know where else to turn. . . (but you'd better be there for me when I call you. . . or else. . .  )

So, this is the cross that I bear. . . it's not easy being a Virgo. . . we have it the hardest. . .

Come on all you other Virgos out there. . . let's show them how really rough we have it!!!!

Gees, what is it with us? I see this thread, read it through and get ready to yell at Sven promoting the Pisces sign... then I look down and see there's two MORE fishes down his throat for the same thing LOL...
uhm say anything about THAT sign???

Definition of a fish: emotional, dramatic, creative, and sensitive... but may deny these traits.
Also psychotic but proud of that attribute.

We are in MY sign now people - Aquarius - so you better beware!!

More geniuses are born under the sign of Aquarius than any other sign (Ron, Chris and I are perfect examples!). The word 'friend' is very important to us and our signs phrase/motto?  "I know"   Because, well, because we do!

Hi you, and what about Capricorns, there are apparently two types, there are those like me, who jump all over the place, and then there are those who are steady and take their time. But we all like climbing up, and we're loyal, and trusty. But then if I'd been born one minute later I'd have been with the fishes. And I like Virgos, actually I like everyone but then I think that basically I'm just too lazy to waste energy in dislike. (Yes I am lazy, truly why does no one believe me when I say that) I save my energy for more interesting activities. Now now, not necessarily     were you reading my mind dear heart. I'm a good girl love, (but I'm better when I'm bad     )

Have I got any faith in star signs, I don't know, I believe we all have a destiny, but I think it's more nurture than nature that determines who we are.

Anyway whatever star signs rising, descending, cusps or eclipses, are they really what makes me ME! I don't know, but whatever it is I'll be happy.
Take care, Virgo love

OF COURSE WE VIRGOS MUST UNITE...

hear us roar!!

its not easy being a Virgo, you know, we Virgos have to contend with less than satisfactory performances from others(since we are renowned perfectionists and they are not) and yet we have to comfort and console them when things go wrong (since we are known to be social-oriented and strongly loyal people)

ARENT WE THE GREATEST?

More about Virgos

The Virgin
August 23 to September 23

Traditional
Virgo Traits
Modest and shy
Meticulous and reliable
Practical and diligent
Intelligent and analytical

On the dark side....
Fussy and a worrier
Overcritical and harsh
Perfectionist and conservative

Virgo is the only zodiacal sign represented by a female. It is sometimes thought of as a potentially creative girl, delicately lovely; sometimes as a somewhat older woman, intelligent but rather pedantic and spinsterish. The latter impression is sometimes confirmed by the Virgoan preciseness, refinement, fastidious love of cleanliness, hygiene and good order, conventionality and aristocratic attitude of reserve. They are usually observant, shrewd, critically inclined, judicious, patient, practical supporters of the status quo, and tend toward conservatism in all departments of life. On the surface they are emotionally cold, and sometimes this goes deeper, for their habit of suppressing their natural kindness may in the end cause it to atrophy, with the result that they shrink from committing themselves to friendship, make few relationships, and those they do make they are careful to keep superficial.

But the outward lack of feeling may, in some individuals born under this sign, conceal too much emotion, to which they are afraid of giving way because they do not trust others, nor do they have confidence in themselves and their judgments. This is because they are conscious of certain shortcomings in themselves of worldliness, of practicality, of sophistication and of outgoingness. So they bring the art of self concealment to a high pitch, hiding their apprehensiveness about themselves and their often considerable sympathy with other people under a mantle of matter-of-factness and undemonstrative, quiet reserve. They are still waters that run deep. Yet in their unassuming, outwardly cheerful and agreeable fashion, they can be sensible, discreet, well spoken, wise and witty, with a good understanding of other people's problems which they can tackle with a practicality not always evident in their own personal relationships.

Both sexes have considerable charm and dignity, which make some male Virgoans appear effeminate when they are not. In marriage they can be genuinely affectionate, making good spouses and parents, but their love making is a perfection of technique rather than the expression of desire, and they must be careful not to mate with a partner whose sex drive requires a passion they cannot match.

They are intellectually enquiring, methodical and logical, studious and teachable. They combine mental ingenuity with the ability to produce a clear analysis of the most complicated problems. They have an excellent eye for detail but they may be so meticulous that they neglect larger issues. Also, although they are realists, they may slow down projects by being too exact. They are practical with their hands, good technicians and have genuine inventive talents, Thoroughness, hard work and conscientiousness are their hallmarks, and they are such perfectionists that, if things go wrong, they are easily discouraged. Because of their ability to see every angle of a many-sided question, they are unhappy with abstract theorizing. Appreciating the many different points of view as they do, they find philosophical concepts difficult, and they vacillate and have no confidence in any conclusions at which they arrive.

With these qualities, they are better as subordinates than leaders. Responsibility irks them and they often lack the breadth of strategic vision that a leader needs Virgoans are essentially tacticians, admirable in the attainment of limited objectives. Their self distrust is something they project on to other people and tends to make them exacting employers, though in the demands they make on those under them they temper this attitude with justice. They have potential abilities in the arts, sciences and languages. Language especially they use correctly, clearly, consciously and formally, as grammarians and etymologists rather than for literary interests, yet they are likely to have a good memory for apt quotations. Although they are well suited for careers in machine drawing, surveying and similar occupations, they are better fitted for a job in a library or office than a workshop.

Their minds are such that they need the stimulus of practical problems to be solved rather than the mere routine or working to set specifications that need no thought. They are careful with money and their interest in statistics makes them excellent bookkeepers and accountants. They also make good editors, physicists and analytical chemists. They may also find success as welfare workers, ministering to those less fortunate than themselves. They can be doctors, nurses, psychologists, teachers, confidential secretaries, technologists, inspectors, musicians, critics, public speakers and writers especially of reference works such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. Both sexes have a deep interest in history, a feature recognized by astrological authorities for at least two hundred years. If they go in for a business career their shrewdness and analytical ingenuity could tempt them into dishonesty, though they usually have enough moral sense to resist temptation. Female Virgoans may find a career in fashion, for they have a flair for dress, in which they can be trend setters. In any profession they choose the natives of this sign readily assimilate new ideas, but always with caution, conserving what they consider worth keeping from the past. They love country life but are unlikely to make good farmers, unless they can contrive to carry out their work without outraging their sense of hygiene and cleanliness.

Their faults, as is usual with all zodiacal types, are the extremes of their virtues. Fastidious reticence and modesty become old-maidishness and persnicketiness; balanced criticism becomes carping and nagging; and concern for detail becomes overspecialization. Virgoans are liable to indecision in wider issues and this can become chronic, turning molehills of minor difficulties into Himalayas of crisis. Their prudence can become guile and their carefulness, turned in on themselves, can produce worriers and hypochondriacs.

Ok, stop everything, the proudest Virgo is here!

Many astrologists say that Virgo is the most intelligent,
and the most compassionate sign.
Most Virgos have a great sense of humour!
We are branded as being prudes and very shy,
however, we are also known as very kinky and sensual too
    Nah ,nah, neener, neener!

~Face it, Virgos just rule~

All hail Virgos!
Funny, we're also supposed to be the modest ones too LOL!

*The most compatible signs for Virgo:
(not in specific order)

-Cancer
-Taurus  (I love Tauruses)
-Capricorn
-Scorpio
-Pisces
and sometimes Gemini

Sven,

i just want to say that i really appreciate all that description about us Virgos...i found my self concealing a smile when i find something that describes me to a T..i fully agree with the part about "still waters run deep"....we Virgos may not always be in the limelight but that doesnt stop us from observing and knowing things about human nature huh?

personally, i am not a prefectionist though(but i do demand high standards from myself)...and the discussion about us being obsessed with hygience and order just eludes me...frankly, you wont believe how sloopy i can get!

Sven wherever did you find that? You know you're letting TOO much out of the closet about us don't you? Publicly letting out our secrets! (tsk tsk)

Much of this suprised me at its accuracy.
But the History thing, sorry, but that's just plain WRONG! History was one of my WORST subjects!

A lot of this was very, very fitting though.

Hi gang. . .

Well Dove, I'm not going to tell you where I found that. . . it's a secret!  LOL     But, I didn't let all of the secrets out of the bag. . . if you (that is, you non-Virgo people) would like to know more. . . then get to know one of your local Virgos as much as you can.

I think that Melissa (who, btw, is my favorite Virgo of all time. . . lol  . . . she's almost as proud a Virgo as I am!) said it best. . . there's so much more to being a Virgo. . . what's behind our walls?  Want to find out?  As Melissa said, we can be a lot of things. . . and I feel that she named off the two best things that she could. . . what other sign can claim those traits eh??

And kaile, yes. . . we are very observant. . . can't get much past us Virgos. . . you can run, but you can't hide. . . we're very good at seeing through the walls, because we're good at putting them up. . . but the fact is, we might be too good sometimes. . . not letting others in. . .

One more thing. . .I've found that Virgos can see both sides of the issue. . . to a fault!  Do any of you do that?  Over-analyze an issue to the point that you don't know what decision to make??  And if so, what do you do about it?  Do you work hard to not do it??

LOL Sven! You know I'm told all the time I analize things too much. Yep, I do that a lot, and then I confuse myself too much and have a hard time making a decision.

The thing about being able to 'fix' others problems, and not being able to do it in your life. That has been me ALL my life.
People in grade school always came to me for advice. People who didn't even know me well.
I have a knack for seeing how to fix things in other people. But I guess we all have that knack don't we.

We can see things easier when we're not in the 'circle' than when we're in it.

Hey Sven, I'm not a virgo, but still in your month..
My best friend ever is a virgo, she is so organized and neat it is unbelievable. This girl came to my house one day and said "would you mind terribly if I organized your cupboards?" I told her to go for it being a lazy Leo and all.
First husband is a virgo too, he was real moody and never could be satisfied with anything. You are of course nothing like that, right?
But you want to organize my cupboards, come on over

In the right situations Virgos love to work. They make ideal
emloyees, happily working late into the night to make sure
everything is perfect and in order. If you are looking for an
employee who doesn't mind starting from rock bottom in the
most entry-level position at the company, hire a Virgo.

They'll have no complaints about the position being beneath
them. They are CONTENT with basic, honest hard work.
Their contentment isn't always apparent, however.

They love to complain and worry. They are quick to criticize
the way things are done around the office and are the first
ones to grumble disapprovingly at what they consider to be
extravagance or laziness. They are blunt and honest and
don't mince words over what they feel just isn't right.

Usually, this will be brought on by someone doing a half-
baked job or not being considerate of other co-workers.

You'll want to constantly reassure them, but this will do little to
quell their anxieties. They actually enjoy worrying, and there
is little you can do about it. Just give them a detail - oriented
project and let them work alone on it. You won't have to
supervise a Virgo worker. They'll check all the facts before
getting started and catch their own errors when they are done.

To keep a Virgo employee happy, you should also make sure
their environment is orderly and calm. You should also provide
small gestures of appreciation. They don't need extravagance,
just let them know you appreciate them in small ways that
won't embarrass them. They will probably just shrug their
shoulders and say, "It's no big deal." But deep down inside
they need these little reassurances.

I'm not one to stand off and watch my fellow Virgos rally from a distance. I was born on my father's, nephew's and cousin's birthday August 29th. I have two sisters who are Virgos as well.

Hi gang....my name is Martie, and I'm a Virgo.  Born on the cusp though (Sept. 22),does that make me partially Libra???

I have the messies on my desk, big time...I must be a rebelious Virgo.

Hey Martie, that does make you partially a Libra. . . isn't that funny??

Just like my birthday (August 26) makes me partially a Leo!!  LOL

Cusps make me wonder. . . why do they exist??  And why burden a sign that already has a lot of emotional issues with the additional influences of another sign???
