Okay, I'm donning my asbestos underwear, 'cause I know this won't go over well. Remember, now, I'm the guy that doesn't buy into love at first sight. And I sort of like movies where the love interests at least get to meet each other, say in the first two hours. Ya ready?

*timidly stands next to ron*

I never even wanted to see Sleepless in Seatle.  The whole premis of the movie bored me.

That is one sweet smiley!  where do u get it?  Awww!!  Sweet!  Just found it!

Anyhow, I've not really gotten too much into romantic movies, but I think that the one I disliked the most was Leonardo DeCaprio's Romeo in Romeo and Juliet.  I mean, I've not ever read the play before, but the Leonardo DeCaprio is not really an actor I like very much.  He seems a little soft.

I don't like romance flicks, by and large.  Well, that's not totally true - it's not 'romance' that I don't like, it's sticky-ooey-goey-grossout sappy flicks.  Those are the ones I don't care for.

Never seen Titanic (never will thankyouverymuch)  *ghack*  I saw the Discovery Channel version, that's good enough for me.

Nicole:

I know what you mean.  I liked the documentaries about it a lot more.  LOL, I am with the critics who said that you could pretty much fastforward the movie Titanic to the last bit, and not worry about missing much.  I thought the sinking was pretty cool.  Especially the bit where that guy knocked his legs against the propellor.

Sorry people, lol.  I have some morbid fascination with pain in the movies.  I must see a counsellor, LOL.

Sorry guys.

The worst romantic film of all time has got to be "Falling in Love" with Deniro and Streep.

With those two at least it could have been funny.

Expectation, of course, is everything.

You've Got Mail...

absolute CRAP..

I mean ok - here's this lovely independent woman who loses her own family business to some snarky creep who just HAPPENS to be her secret love on the internet. Then, he meets her, pretends he's not her secret internet love etc...and what happens at the end?

'I wanted it to be you' Meg says pathetically at the end after said snarky, lying guy shows up to meet her...

~shaking head sadly~

(Sharon - Battlefield Earth...oh I know...I know I know I know I know...HIDEOUS film)

But seriously? the WORST romantic - SOMERSBY...

It's beyond description.

I LIKED TITANIC!

I really didn't like the new "Romeo and Juliet", though. If you have never read the play, factual, you are missing out BIG TIME.

Seriously, the worst movie I've ever seen was "Stigmana" (sp?). At the end, the girl and the prist hook up!! That's the only move I've ever walked out of.

The worst romanticlly-centered movie I've ever seen was "You've got mail". Good acting, but the script? Blach!

Titanic...doomed from the start...real bummer

Bridges of Madison County...another bummer ending
Also the Horse Whisperer...what's with all the movies of love that will always be forbidden?

These are definitely the worst though I agree with others about "You've Got Mail". That too leaves a sour taste as well.
