I figured this would be faster than searching through everyone's
profiles.
So, I'm curious.....Where are you?

I guess I'll start with me....
I'm in Washington State.....you know, where people say it rains all the time.

Ok, your turn.......

actually, I always say New Orleans, La. but it is technically Gretna. But If I want to go to New Orleans, I walk out of the door and turn left and I'm there. As for the city of Gretna, I always say, "it's a nice place to live, but you wouldn't want to visit there."

Ok, that far fetched place called the British Isles where the sun dries up the rain so it snows and then the rain comes again to wash away the snow and then the sun comes out to dry up the rain and with any luck you see a rainbow before the hail starts and we start the whole process over again...ROFL

But come stand with me and watch open mouthed as the sun rises or watch that ball of orange slowly sink into the horizon as the sun sets...truly magical..

Wow you guys.....
This is great fun reading where all of you are at, and a little bit about it.

I'm just about 20 minutes east of Seattle, in Issaquah.
And it's a HUGE change from here to there.
I'm spoiled, close to many towns, have lots of trees and I drive 40 minutes further east and I can snowski. Add another hour and a half to that and I have sand dunes....
Can water ski just 10 minutes away......
And Canada is a hop, skip and a jump for me...
ANYWAY..... Thanks all for sharing with me...

Hmm, well not that it matters, but I live in Snoozeville U.S.A.  an unfortunately rapidly growing community called Santa Clarita Valley, CA...or if you want more specific I live in Canyon Country (cant you tell how broing it is bythe name?)  We have of course Six Flags tragic (I mean Magic) Mountain (but when you live here you dont like to go, its boring).  I live where it never rains and never snows, you can go swimming in the winter, but yet you drive 45 miles east and you are at the beach, drive30-40 miles north and you get snow, drive 45 miles west and you get the desert (which gets snow all the time as well), and you go 40 miles south and you are in Los Angeles.  I basically live inthemiddle of hell, so word of advice, if you're ever driving down I-5 and pass Magic Mountain, just keep going dont stop.  Same thing if you are driving down the 14 just keep going, you dont want to be here =)  Anyway, now you know where I live so can um someone get me out of here??  hehe  BTW HI to all I havent seen in a LONG LONG time!

I sit and ponder and lift thoughts from my consciousness, spilling them forth to here, raising my lit cigarette and blowing smoke in the face of reali

I come from a little place called “almost Heaven”. Yep, West Virginia is my state. (NO, NOT western Virginia, West Virginia! It’s been a state since 1863! geez!) I hail from the southern part of the state, where people still mine coal and the descendants of the Hatfields and McCoys reside. (Yes, I am one of them... both Hatfield and McCoy) This is one of the few places where guys skip school to go hunting! But it is also one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, and I think it deserves it’s nickname.

It's been great reading about everyone's home!

I am from Boise Idaho, the land of the spuds. I have lived all over in Oregon, California, Nevada, and spent 5 years in Oklahoma ( a tiny place called Longdale). My brother (aka 'bleeding') still lives in Okla. in Norman. I have a really good friend that lives in Issaquah Wash. After living all over the place I finally came back home to Boise and will probably be here for at least the next 15 years. After that, hubby and I want to retire in Seaside or Newport Oregon.

London, Ontario ... surrounded by 3 of the great lakes ( no shortage of beaches )
We seem to get missed by a lot of the winter snow the past few years ( banana belt must have shifted )
but I'm not complaining!

Having just moved again, I am now in Charlottesville, VA which is home to UVa's Cavaliers.  Wahoowa!     Oh...forgot this...Anthony Hopkins was just here last month for the film fest.  It was most awesome!

Yeah, California... that's what I said in the first place.   Modesto, Ca to be exact - home of the venerable god of sci-fi: George Lucas. We even have an "American Grafitti" statue dedicated to him at the Five Points corner in the downtown area.

It's been so much fun reading all of your replies and where you all are from. And even learing a little bit about where you live!
Thank you all for responding to this thread.

Hi, well I live in Maidstone, which is in the county town of Kent, in England. South east and near the bottom. It used to be known as the Garden of England, now people say right the Channel Tunnel, and Eurostar. Where I live is opposite three orchards, pears and apples, and with the river about 500ft away.
Luckily it's downhill from me so during the floods I was safe. It's not exactly the most spellbinding place in the world, but there you go.
Take care

Hey Dark Angel - I think we Aussies are outnumbered!
I live in a beautiful little town (pop 400) called Kenilworth which is a 40 min drive from Queensland's Sunshine Coast. So I have the best of both worlds. The bush I love and the city lights I need.

I live in Valley Forge..about a 20 minute ride from Philadelphia.  There is only one main road that goes out into town, and it takes you through the heart of Valley Forge Park (George Washington used to hang out here in case ya didn't know!).  The drive can be VERY annoying at times b/c of all the tourists driving 10 MPH!!  Argh....  Anyhoo, I suppose I am lucky to have such a beautiful commute to work everyday (it's even more gorgeous when it snows

Presque Isle, Maine here - 20 minutes from New Brunswick, lots of potato farms, and some of the nicest people in the world.  I've lived in other parts of ME, and spent 15 years in Fredonia, NY, halfway between Buffalo and Erie, PA.  Just can't seem to get away from that snow!

Well, I wouldn't give this away, but since there are precious few (I counted one) from this part of the ether, I'll spill it.  This place is in "extreme" southern Minnesota, almost Iowa.  (If you are not from MN or IA, that's an inside joke, meaning that we tell really dumb jokes about each other.)  It's just a small town called Fairmont, once known as Fairmount for the military fort built on the highest ground above one of our lakes.  I am about as far as one can get from an ocean, at least on this continent.  I've also lived in Tennessee and Hawaii, a couple more states not heard from here.

I'm from a beautiful little country town called Kenilworth in Australia.
This is not the home of fantastic sports teams, or famous people, just us and the cows! But I love it here anyway.
