Next year, we need to write some poems for the unloved, unwanted and unappreciated!!!

Let's choose our mascot (no cupids please!)

and our symbol (not a heart of flower!)

what do you think?

First off I vote for Oscar the Grouch for Mascot, that or Dracula! My reply about horrible love experiences come later

Poet deVine, I am with you!! As my sister says, why is it only on Mother's Day and Valentine's Day that the kids or spouse can say or do anything nice! So, just let me know. ME

Oscar sounds great. Symbol? How about dead flowers?

Sorry, guys, but your choices are being built upon an obviously flawed foundation. Unloved, unwanted and unappreciated?

There are no people fitting that description as long as Sharon is hanging out in these parts. I hear she's moving out of Arizona because the state is no longer larger enough to hold that heart of hers.

Thank you Ron! As you know, you hold a very large section of this heart and always will.

i agree "OSCAR THE GROUCH" is the best candidate for a mascot

with reagrds to symbols what about his house? "THE TRASHCAN"

I posted this about love before. I think it fits me most specially today

The Unloved

Love is unequivocally the architect of one’s sorrow and misery
The reason for a never ending constant flow of suffering
Resolve, to this a continuous stabbing of undeniable depression
Reality’s version of veniality and damnation
The spell that casts a curse to carry the fires of hell
Even just a glimpse is actually earning you the right to grieve
Hard to accept on one's self,
but hypocrisy is indeed what it seems to be
So, tell me this with truthfulness
Am I not to claim even an ounce of happiness?
Do believe when I say that I actually try
Either I’m foolish enough to believe in such change,
Or that it’s just my plain stupidity that drives me to
I too try to dispute it with my own claims of innocence...
That in an attempt to cheat or hustle life’s cruel intentions
Though it seems like time’s hands are already most certain
A conclusion that such an assertion is that of no merit at all
So, how am I to justify this, my excuse for an existence?
Or is it that I’m in destiny’s list for the process of extinction ?
For I am the unwanted,
The unworthy,
And most certainly
The unloved....

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this give life to thee." W.S.

ok so let me be cynical for a moment (what with my romantic history this is not entirely unheard of)...what I am about to say could be entirely ficticious or it could be entirely true. What you believe is entirely up to you.

What do you all think of someone who totally doesn't have a clue Valentine's Day has even hit, let alone says or does anything remotely out of the ordinary or even romantic? Well I give it two thumbs down and a big

YEAH!!!! I'm very single this year...

Oscar the Grouch is a great mascot...and the trash can is ideal for a symbol (that's where we can throw all the cards and flowers! We'll eat the candy though ).

Have it it everyone!

Sorry, it's logo infringement!!! Have to come up with something other than Oscar and his trash can.

Ok, no Oscar. How about Pinky & the Brian? We could take over the world and ban Valentine's day altogether!!!!

I personally am not all THAT much against Valentine's, but I couldn't help this...how about a skunk for a mascot...no trademark infringements to worry about there!! And, for the symbol...hmm...how about roadkill...that is really nasty, I know, but it just couldn't be helped!!

I was thinking that, too, but then you have the whole trademark infringement thing...trust me...I work for patent attorneys...it could get ugly LOL
And, yeah, acire's right...he's loving...wouldn't work!!

For your no flower thing, take the flowers off the stems, and have thorn stems!

Mascots. Ya know the first thing that comes to mind is a broken heart. But, you could have a donkey. Maybe a snake?

A lizard? A skunk?

Mascot= raven
symbol= black rose

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I have a friend who made a valentines day card. It was blue and had a large black heart that was jaggedly cut down the middle. On the front it said "Have a". Inside it said "heart breaking, black, antivalentines day card" with more black broken hearts. it rocked. gotta go, back later.

The black broken heart could be our symbol!
Did you know that Valentines Day is the second worst day in the year for suicides? Not good.
