I'm homesick....

here I am in America and I am actually HOMESICK. I mean - I get to go home on Thursday and I just can't believe it that I am actually pining...

It's ridiculous!

You know you have it bad when a B.P (British Petroleum) sign on the road comforts the little ache in the chest...

Sniff...what should I do?

K (weak lol)

Awww....just remember you're only visiting, and you don't get to do it often.

But you'll have forever to be home. So hang in there, home will come soon enough. HUGS

WEll, since you are in my house, posting on my computer, don't you think it would be better to think on the positive side of things,------- our great ice cream and pizza, great fast foods, mints, and snow etc, etc, etc,. When you leave here, you're going to miss America, and since my home is open to you as long as you want to stay, you'll go back to NZ and then you're goimg to post again about how homesick you are for America. So my sympathies are worn very thin for this poor homesick girl from NZ.
(After she leaves I'll post about how homesick I am for her)
You've been a wonderful companion and friend and I wish I could keep you longer. So please don't be homesick til you get on ehr plane. THere is still some fun to be had in America.
LOve you, dear,
Liz

Your icecream isn't as nice as ours so there...but the way you do chicken is so nice you might even have to throw me out the door...I might even miss you too...

LOve, or should that be HUSG?

Very funny!,
Now let's get serious.
Where else but in my house can you sleep all afternoon, get up and have something to eat, then go back to bed and sleep til 11:00 in the morning? Tell me that! And I'm not so sure about New Zealnd ice cream. You'd really have to prove that one to me.
(Why are you yawning, Kamla? Time for bed already?)
Homesick, are you. Well, let me know when you start this tough semester in NZ if you don't think back at the cozy bed you slept in at Lizzie's house and how good the ice cream really is.
Just some thoughts to ponder
Liz

STICKING OUT TONGUE AT YOU!!!

And you can talk Miss early to bed, late to rise...phooey..

I would send you icecream if it didn't melt...

so THERE

~twinkle~

(really everyone - she is much nicer than she sounds...I'll say one thing - I'm not QUITE so homesick anymore lol - even if she does keep stealing my butterfly)

hmm, I just looked Pottstown up on a map and its not all that far away from many on here, Liz...you could have had a mini poets convention... *s...

well it's wonderful when poets from all over can get to meet...I did that in Va this time almost, last year, and it was a wonderful weekend.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay, Severn..huggzz to you both

Liz's place is the perfect place for a poet's convention - absolutely PERFECT..it's warm...cozy...inviting and large enough too...

Actually, we're having a poet's convention of sorts today, as a matter of fact, Denise and Ellie are coming here to join me and Kamla. Anyone else nearby is welcome to join us today at 2:00.
Perhaps we should plan something for the future - Great Idea!
In the meantime, I'm going to miss Kamla when she leaves. Everyone knows she is a jewel, but in person she shines even brighter. I will feel like i'm loosing a daughter, so that's why I intend to make the most of the short time we have left.
Perhaps some day I'll get over there to taste that New Zealand ice cream!
Anyway, I hear NZ is a beautiful place. I can ubderstand why she's homesick, but I hope she will hold a special place in her heart for her poet friends in the States. I certainly will for her.

Ah Kamla just think of it as your second home! I'm glad you got to get together with Liz. I hear she's a real doll, well, I know she is from talking with her. A real big sweetheart.

I just wish I could get out there to meet y'all too! Hugs to everyone I can't get to see....Liz, Denise, Ellie, Kamla.

Isn't New Zealand the place where they show those great looking milk cows? They must have great milk, thus great ice cream them.

Trying to side with you Kamla he he he

ROTFLMAO.... This conversation is reminiscent of the cartoon that Doreen's sister drew for us when we all met in DC... It was a room full of poets... all finally together and sitting in a circle - Each one had a laptop in front of them so they could communicate by typing messages to the people in the adjacent chairs....

New York City - Here I come... (sans laptop)..

St. Patrick's Cathedral, 11:00 A.M. Sharp! Last pew....how far is the Cathedral from Grand Central Station? I'll have to see if I can get the day off and get on the train!I'll let you know! Well, it was certainly a pleasure meeting Kamla and Ellie for the first time and seeing Elizabeth again, sharing our poetry with each other, chatting, just hanging out. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was a pleasure to talk to Sy on the phone too. Ellie and I had to leave before it got dark (we have those over '40' eyes)so I didn't get a chance to talk to Balladeer. I'll get to do that one of these days! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Elizabeth. You always make me feel welcome! Hope to see you all again soon! (Maybe Tuesday, Nan!)
