The ancient Egyptians associated Aquarius with a vital spiritual force that nourished and renewed life. Pictured as a man or woman pouring life-giving waters from an urn, the symbol portrays humanitarian efforts to nourish the earth with the spirit of collective humanity through communication of ideas and feelings.

New life springs up with water -- Aquarius is associated with what is new. They are often first at thinking and doing things that others follow.

They are idealistic, independent, inventive thinkers -- quick-witted, positive, excitable and, when necessary, aggressive and combative. Their vision, purpose, or ideal is sharing their brilliant ideas with others in an effort to enlighten them for their own good.

Their keyword is ENLIGHTENMENT. Theire sympathetic nature causes them to deeply sense mankind's suffering. Consequently, their attitude toward others is generous, kind, and humane.

Guided by their innate foresight and appreciation for the brotherhood of man, they envision a utopian future for the human race in which everyone treats each other alike, regardless of gender, color, nationality or background.

They are aroused to contribute to society by dispensing their humanitarian ideals, and carefully ponder the most expedient ways to inspire understanding among others.

Realistic, practical, determined, persistent and faithful, Aquarians can become melancholic, despondent, retiring, stubborn, aggressive or rebellious when restricted.

Aquarians basically possess strong and attractive personalities. They fall into two principle types: one shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; the other exuberant, lively and exhibitionist, sometimes hiding the considerable depths of their character under a cloak of frivolity.

Both Types are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken.

They have a breadth of vision that brings diverse factors into a whole, and can see both sides of an argument without shilly-shallying as to which side to take. Consequently they are unprejudiced and tolerant of other points of view. This is because they can see the validity of the argument, even if they do not accept it themselves.

Both types are humane, frank, serious minded, genial, refined, sometimes etheral, and idealistic, thought this last quality is tempered with a sensible practicality. They are quick, active and persevering without being self-assertive, and express themselves with reason, moderation and sometimes, a dry humour.

Barbi Benton???

and what Star Sign group in their right mind would claim Dan Quayle?????

That alone should tell you that there is something seriously wrong with these Aquarians!!!

ROFL....Sharon, do you also read tarot?
and you forgot to mention that one of the most compatible signs for Aquarian is the quick-witted GEMINI.

We are also very compatible with those born under the sign of Libra....and of course a good match is Aquarian to Aquarian...because we'd be on the same wavelength...

Hmmm... You left off my all-time favorite hockey player (Mike Bossy - January 22) and then misspelled Gretzky... might I assume that hockey isn't your thing? LOL

Contrary to the attention hogging Piceans who think they're great because they have a few people who were famous (notorious?) born under the same sign (accidents of someone else's birth has relevance to your life in what manner???)... AQUARIANS RULE!!!

Dear Kettle,
I can't believe you just called someone else (even a group of people) attention hogging. As soon as I wipe the tears of laughter out of my eyes I'll continue...

*sigh*

*blinks* I believe the AQUARIANS started the listing of famous persons born under their sign (not to mention the fact that some of the names of those mentioned were misspelled by one of the all-knowing-cerebral-oriented Aquarians).
And, uhm, “accidents of someone else's birth has relevance to your life in what manner???”
Isn’t this the very basis of this thread? Are we not discussing Zodiac signs? Are we not relating to one another by date of birth? You generalize by stating that “Aquarians Rule” therefore making the reader assume that all Aquarians are *ahem* special (and those that I’ve encountered certainly are) simply because of the day of their birth. Using names of celebrated persons of the same sign is a way of dignifying this argument. …As demonstrated by the architect of this thread.  Now, how can you insist on separating the two?

Lastly, Pisces (no flattering adjectives necessary) do not need a long list of names to justify their magnificence. We do that just by existing...

~pot

p.s. And C, you misspelled Pisceans.

Pisces ROCK THE HOUSE!!!

Pisces are the greatest! The sign of Pisces represents sensitivity, creativity, and all the wonderful things a poet needs!

Here's some famous people born under this sign:

Justin Jeffre (from 98 degrees)- Febrary 25th
Mark Paul Glosser (Zach from "Saved by the Bell) March 1st

Ah, who cares about the rest, that's enough!!!!!!

Could do without the whole Pisces melancholy curse, though ... ruined a few days for me, it did.

But i'm talking about DETAILED ones......the kind of thread that goes on forever with elaborated information on each sign.
