Sean Connery gives me chills! He's smart and hmm that voice...OMG...btw Colin's dad's voice is alot like Sean's!! (Colin and his fam are 100% Scottish)

I think sexy is a man who listens, who really cares about what you are saying, who looks you straight in the eye as you talk, he doesn't have to be a greek god type- just clean cut and well groomed. Sensitive men are sexy cuz they make you feel so safe and secure with your feelings. (I guess I think Colin is sexy lol)

I'm 21, so Sean Connery is obviously not for my generation, but, I must agree that Sean possesses a sophisticated charm like no other. I think that he is sexier and more mysterious now than he was when he was young in the Bond movies.

For the record:
...While Connery as Bond is dashing... he got BETTER as he got older... Just when his hair turned white... WOW. *weak knees*
...James Earl Jones has a fatherly story-telling kind of voice not a make your thighs squirm intonation.
...Ben Affleck isn't even in the same universe! Come on, what do you think he'll look like when HE's older? Think "SEX appeal" not boyish good looks... (maybe I'm biased because, for the record, Ben Affleck doesn't do a THING for me... but please, on a scale of suave to today's ten minutes... Connery TRIUMPHS )

...And, uhm, IAM 21...

actually, I'd rather take up the phone book idea...Sean Connery in a suit reading is a little different than Sean Connery naked LOL...

i went to see the presidio with a gay friend of mine who was a hilarious swish (and proud of it) who pointed to the screen as sean and mark harmon were both up at the same time and said --

'there's the man who made me gay -- and there's the one that keeps me that way..' rofl...

what I've never really understood though is why men get jealous about women dishing over guys like that... I don't get it guys...

age has nothing to do with it. sex appeal is sex appeal...

and maturity is maturity...women's brains are more evolved than men's and they mature much more quickly -- that's about the size of it...

I think what this post needs is a differentiation between SEX appeal and OVERALL appeal ... keeping in mind that preferences differ, of course.

Sex appeal:  You want to rip off their clothes and ... um ... well, get to KNOW them (in the Biblical sense).  The less they talk, the better.  This job is perfect for the person who is suited to looking pretty as long as they don't do other distracting things, such as talking and thinking.  With apologies to Lovebug, I'd have to say that 98 degrees would fit into this category for some (though they don't do it for me).

Overall appeal:  This is when you want to rip off their clothes and ... um ... well, get to KNOW them (in the Biblical sense, again - I am a firm believer in the prompt release of sexual tensions, lest they muddle the rest of the human experience). THEN, you want to go and have lunch with them at a sidewalk cafe in the lovely spring weather and talk for hours about anything that stirs your interest ... even if you don't agree on some things, you find their opinions fascinating and the sound of their voice hypnotizing.  Most importantly, once everything was said and done, you'd give them your number and actually WANT them to call you, even if the two of you never had sex again.

Basically the important thing is not the SEX appeal, but the AFTER THE SEX appeal, in my opinion.  *wink*

Well now - Having experienced two out of three of the above... Does that leave me with only ONE choice from among Brad, Tom, and Tom??... Interestingly enough, my "ex" is named "Tom," and I just had the nebulous privilege of spending the afternoon with not only him, but also his third and fourth wives and his "newer" children..(the second wife died)...  Just for the principle of it all, I'd have to go with Brad... ...

In lieu of this horrific experience, I'll stick with doing more time with our
ComPassionate ones - They've got the MOST APPEAL of all...

Oh - and Chris - the "Sex Appeal based on physical appearance alone" thingie... That's a "guy" thing. Girls look at the whole package... !!..

Erica LOL... I will fight you on this until one of us dies!
Sweetie, you're a smart girl, aren't you?... wouldn't you rather pine over someone beautiful like Ryan Philipe (I could never have him; I refuse to date anyone prettier than me   )? or troubled-boyish like *ack* Ben Affleck? or Paolo Montalban (mmmmmmm)?
...come on Erica... come on...step away from the Pop culture dark side!

Oh, this is useless...

98 degrees has cooties!!!

...that means they're all dating the backdoor.. er backstreet boys

oh common, now Freddie Prinze is in the picture too
You know better than that Kiley

and Ms. Cor.......Ryan Phillipe?
That's the same as saying you crush on Justin from Nsync

Why not Enrique Iglesias?
That, I'd probably understand, we got the same mix

This is going nowhere........

Well, guys are supposed to look at the whole package....it's a male perogative. If men didn't ogle every female, irregardless of species, how on earth would the female feel appreciated? Roses, chocolate, cards? Yeah, right! Men only give those out so they can sorta ogle on the sly.

Note: If you forgot to bring your sense of humor, please step away from the keyboard and find it.

Why do girls think that guys are so insensitive?

Guys are the ones that give all these gifts to the girl, and usually the girl doesn't really do anything for the guy.

Girls are usually there just to remind us when it's time for annivs and special occassions, so we can buy them more stuff

Sup with that.....

Men look at the total package.... it's just that they pay more attention to certain bits of the package

As a woman (checks self to make sure)AHEM!! I confess that I have not always looked at the whole package, so I disagree. Not all females look at the whole package.

Gees, can we PLEASE transport back OUT of Generalization Stereotype World???
Come on, how did a little joking subject end up turning out this crap?
Good Grief!

As a girl, I oogle, I buy lots of gifts, flowers, write little appreciative notes, dote, charm, look like a slob sometimes, don’t nag about dates (anniversaries, holidays, even birthdays) … and my role in the relationship has nothing to do with cleaning, cooking, or bearing children. I try to be a decent person. I try to have fun. I try to make my partner feel loved and valued for what they are and for everything they do. To me, those seem like universal terms…

In return, I’ve received gifts, flowers, little appreciative notes, endless generosity in so many ways, someone who doesn’t care if I don’t exactly look pretty at times, and doesn’t expect me to take on the position of “housewife” UGH. *smirks* I’d hate to see the person that DID.

We DO have fun. We do love and respect one another to a tremendous degree. And we still tease and oogle *laughs* Hell, we point out people to each other…
Because there is trust, understanding, a melodious combination of principles… and frankly, it equals a pretty damn blissful life. The secret? We try to be good people. We treat each other kindly. We try talk about everything. We just relax and enjoy. This seems like a fairly simple formula.

So, what’s the confusion? Why the gender cataloging? Why the complaints?

… kay, enough of the scolding… let’s get this “Girls look at the whole package” dispute settled: Bring in the Strippers!

Beth:

So, um, exactly WHO does the cleaning at your place...?

Everyone else:

Men are different. Women are different. Wooohooo, deep, profound and all that.

The best relationships grow out of two people whose strengths make up for their partner's weaknesses, and vice versa. Mike drives (cause I hate it and could get lost in a paper bag). I clean (cause if I left it to Mike it wouldn't get done -- hehe). Mike brushes my hair, I read novels to him -- and the best part is, both of us APPRECIATE what the other does. Novel concept, eh?

So let's lay off the stereotypes, shall we? (I CAN say that, cause I was the one that started it all ... LOL)

Linda
