Okay, I'll get right to the point.
I love salt & vinegar chips! I really do! Just the thought of them brings that feeling into my throat.
But I'm convinced that there is NO beverage that goes well with them! I've tried pepsi, milk, mountain dew, water, fruit juice... but there's nothing that goes well with them at ALL! And this is driving me nuts. They are like a wonderful movie without a sequel...
Someone help me out. What drink goes good with S&V Chips?
Thanks to all of you for your help. It's great to know that a family of friends will come to the aid of its fellow member in a time of unusual need.

Mountain Dew goes with everything.

Uhmmm - though it does taste nasty right after brushing your teeth...

Umm... ya ever tried 'SPRUCE BEER' or how about a gatorade drink that usually does the trick with me when munching on SnV chips

Um...I might not be of any help here, though I am certainly addicted to S&V chips...so I try my best not to buy them. I know from prior experience that they will be all et in about 30 minutes (if I take my time). But GAWD how they turn up the pumps on your salivary glands into hyperdrive...who needs something external to wash it down? You'll only dilute the S&V....hmmm......how about a margarita....tangy, salty, a wee bit sour...just like the chips.....hmmm....might have to break down and get some chips just to try that out.....

I'd like to remind you all that I am from the Teen forum. I'm a tad underage for some of these drinks, and I'd not drink them even if I could.
But for the sake of everyone else who has had my problem and needs the same advice, keep on with the replies.

Dill pickle juice!

No, I don't like it - but I figure anyone who eats something glazed with salt and vinegar should. (Yuck)

Flavored water. I think the tropical flavor would do just right. There is NO sugar just the fruit taste.

I honestly ate these chips last night and I am still tasting the feeling in my mouth.
And now I have a second problem-- an uncanny craving for dill pickle juice.
Thanks a lot, Ron.

Confession time: I hate any flavored chip. Don't eat Ranch Flavored, Nacho Cheese Flavored, Sour Cream Flavored not even BBQ!!! Why anyone would want to sully the purity of a potato chip is beyond me!!

Note to Becky: Did you drink this pickle juice before or after you gnawed on table legs??? LOL

"S&V" (a short poem by Allan Riverwood)

let saliva be your friend
counting up the tallied lives
forever to its end
one
two
three more knives

you've got me trapped, my salty foe
by ankles and wrists, with ropes and chains
the piercing acids hold my cheeks
forever the reservoir drains

a knife would be the way to start
a glist'ning roundness, soaked of steel
for s&m with s&v
to test potato sex appeal

let saliva be your friend
counting up the tallied lives
forever to its end
one
two
three more knives

a hurled projectile cuts a hole
it bleeds of clearness, stinging fast
i wish you'd let me down by now
my wounds are bleeding at long last

but you can't see to pity me
a greasy bag that's nearly done
and you can't see to break the chains
or figure it's no longer fun

let saliva be your friend
counting up the tallied lives
forever to its end
one
two
three more knives

please let me down, my salty foe
i have been hanging long enough
please leave me be, in misery
no! not another knife!
....
....
....mmm... that's the stuff....

If I had your eyes, I'd be blind. For I can only see out of my own. ~~Carly Van Dort

I don't care for Salt and Vinegar, but try a Jolt? I don't know if they sell it anymore but if it doesn't taste good, at least you will have a big enough sugar high and salt fix to run around the neighborhood a few dozen times. Jolt is supposedly ten times worse than mountain dew in that respect.

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..
