This should be a pretty good one. . .

What's your favorite musical (or musicals)???

For me:

Rent
Camelot
Aspects of Love
West Side Story

just to name a few. . . there are more. . . but I want to know what all of you like!!!

Les Miserables

...'can you hear the people sing'...

and of course the Sound of Music - better on stage than movie even.

Hmmm . . . RENT has to be my favorite because there is so much truth in it. Then it would have to be Phantom of the Opera. No, not just because of Michael Crawford but who couldn't listen to him sing for hours?

There are just way too many to pick!! This isn't fair!! Ok, I also like Carousel and the Pajama Game.

That's it for now.

Does "Pink Floyd- The Wall" count?

Hey K. . . I always wondered about "The Hills are alive. . . " lol

LW, you'll notice that I said "Musical (or Musicals)". . . so, don't limit yourself. . .

Allan, yes "The Wall" does count. . .and it's one of mine as well. . .

Dopey. . . leave it to you to say "Grease"!!

Guys and Dolls
West Side Story
Les Miserables (couldn't get that score out of my head for weeks)
... in fact, there are many scores that I adore that are not necessarily derived from a favorite musical. The Secret Garden, for one (namely "Come to my Garden")
Anyway...
Into the Woods
Rocky Horror

Sven,

I'm not limiting myself . . . so let's see I forgot to mention No No Nanette, Rocky Horror (we must have watched that one a million times, huh?)and how could I ever forget Jesus Christ Superstar?? I am slipping here!! LOL. Ok, that's all for this time.

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

I saw Michael Crawford in concert once. I thought I was going to marry the man from age 12-16. I might still consider it if he asked me lol

Ok, isn't this pathetic.. I am a teenager and just saw West Side Story for the first time a few weeks ago. I would have to say that West Side Story is my favorite musical.

Grease
Heavy Metal
Oklahoma
My Fair Lady
Singing in the Rain
Holiday Inn...basically anything with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, or Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelley...on and on and on...

I know the words to a 100 musicals and more - all the older ones... the 'good' ones... I love movies today, but wish they'd hit some of the musicals again... miss those.

LI'L ABNER!!!

Ok, not really, but that's been the best for me as a performer, with Grease a close second.

I like West Side Story, definently, along with Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and The King and I.

I have just recently gotten into musicals, and I have only seen Sound of Music, which is a great one. I have been told that South Pacific is another fantastic one, (though the real version, not the one that was just aired on TV) and of course, who hasn't seen Rocky Horror, what a demented and perfectly wonderful one!

Movies: White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Brigadoon... (I'll have to agree with Christopher that if it has Bing or Gene in it, it's worth watching. *G*)

Live Performances: CATS, CATS, CATS... should I mention I saw it 13 times? LOL. Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast... (if Terrence Mann is in it, I'll love it! *G*), Blood Brothers (Okay, so it was a golden opportunity to drool over the Cassidy brothers *G*), The King and I (WITH Yul Brenner)... and on and on and on. *S*

acire, I was "Jacob" in a high school production of Joseph. . . it's a great musical. . . and the person that played "Joseph" has now gone on to Broadway and most recently starred in Titanic. . .

*A small memory from the file of Sven*

Which brings a new question. . .
Have you ever been in a musical????
